I think the cars behind are, 1950 Ford Prefect and 1936 Morris 8.

girishpv, the Ford Prefect came to my mind also, especially because of the profile coupled with the slanted 'Prefect' script's image that seems to be showing up; but somehow the proportions, the slope of the roof and the barely-visible shut-lines still seem to suggest a larger car to me.

Nice car, who owns it? This types of cars seen in lot of WW2 movies moving around on rugged terrain in Europe. It British counter part is
Humber, Hillman, one original Humber Hawk still in Army services, Secunderabad, since 50's, I have snaps of it.

Similar model seen on other thread, owned by Dussey another Team-bhp member.

This black 170V belonged to the Vijay Raghavan Family.

I was restoringa similar car that used to belong to the cricketer Jai Simha's dad.

There was also a two door cabrio that used to belong to teh Zamarrud Theater people later purchased by Iqbal Patni.

Here is a picture of a 170V four door convertible that had fallen on hard times and left by its owner at a garage in Hyderabad.

The other is a petrol 220 in immaculate condition with a prominent collector in Hyderabad who owns that CAT regestered Buick

Hi! This a 170V Roadster prewar. Some modifications have been made. I believe that this car is a longer resident of Lucknow.

Cheers harit

OT: My dad had a similar one in Black too, APY 9151, bought from his elder bro. in 1976, for around 3,400/- or so. He learnt driving on it too. Sold it in 1980, a year before I was born, to an employee in ECIL (remember ECTV? That was made by this co.), who bought it for his petrol allowance, and let the car rot away. This car had a roll-back sunroof, which I was told had torn off while it was laid up, leaving the interior exposed to the elements, and then a couple of wild plants had grown out of the front seats! They finally sold it off, part by part.
