Here's a 190(?) ponton that drove past me and briefly stopped ahead at this spot this afternoon while I was talking to someone in this street.

'looked like a complete, original car from the brief glimpse I had of it, barring the regn. no. (its a later, post 90s one!)

'wanted to take better pics. but unfortunately the driver (who looked like a mechanic) got into it and drove off just as I was walking towards it with my camera!

I was thinking of doing that. Any idea about the costing??

Original Sanden 507 should be in the range of about 6000. The main dealers for the same are Sai Aircon- Phone 29814999. For brackets you may contact Vishwakarma Engineers-26811350 - 9810120821

Now I am so glad that I am a part of this website.
There was this guy I approached last year he was asking 20000.
Thats what happens when u don't know the right people. Thank you. I will keep on posting and asking for help with whatever parts i need.cheers:

Do you also know someone whom I might contact for the wiring and all??
That requires some work too.

An original compressor as Mr Jatti has pointed out should nbe in the range as he mentioned. Im sure you will find someone to repair the York compressor if not completely busted. If not then you may go in for a new one or even a rotary compressor, as the load to the engine will be negligible with a rotary compressor.
Ask as many questions you want bro. Although not an expert at these things will try to answer every one of them. No sweat.

Great Pictures Yashraj, and i must say you have a lovely car yourself and very well kept too.

The first car is the 680k, the second picture is of the 300 and the third looks to be a 190 or a 200 belonging to P.P.

Here is a link for the 680k

The blue merc is for sale (actually has been for over a year) for a stupid stupid price. Thats the reason its not sold as yet. The dealer/owner has since dropped his price but its still stupid.

Don't blame him, his brother managed to sell his Fintail at a ridiculous price, whereas this one is more desirable IMO. I wonder if the B-schools will try to analyse this trade someday, and crack it or crack-up trying to do so.

What's the current asking price for the Fintail?
What price should it sell for, being realistic?

I'm attaching a pic of a Fintail Merc 190 i spotted recently. It looked Completely original(excpt for the seat covers) to me, and i must say, its the best one i've seen to date. It even had a little mesh like thing on all four glasses to let air in i think) and even that had 'Made in germany' written on it, guess it was an optional accessory then!

P.S: Stanher chettan, the car has a AAU regn, any info reg this car?? Heard it was owned by some big guy there previously.
