MYC would make it a 60s jeep, so very much a Willys, they were made high-bonnet from that era onwards.

Something like this:

This Willys Jeep is regularly seen at Dadar (east) near the fire station. The number says she's quite old, the wheels don't !!

@ Ravi,
The owner of this jeep lives near the Gurudwara there, I have met him once but he is very rude to talk. He has changed this jeep a lot & also so called alloy wheels & Honda City steering.

Now I know, being a purist, it'd be sacrilege on my part to say so.....but this is THE kind of Jeep I'd love to have. An early LB but modded to suit present driving conditions and fit even for regular use!

Trouble is even a bodyshell of one of these has now become too pricey!

'saw this low-bonnet willys LHD the other day.

Forgive my ignorance again but I understand this model is called the MB? With the larger headlights? What model year would this belong to?

Dear all - this is my friend's Jeep. He is a Bawa like me and he is not rude at all. He just speaks in a rather loud voice. He has told me many times to do it up for him but I just don't have the time to spare.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

That is not the MB. The MB is the same as the Ford GPW current till 1944

The Willys in the picture is the one from just after the war and is the CJ 3.

Thanks for the info, wasif. I do often get confused with the CJ models. So was the CJ-4 the high bonnet series? Or did that start with CJ-5?
