One question: The amount paid is for continual restoration on the cars or is it for an as is condition in the pics?

Either ways since you have already bought them, how much you paid or whether it being right or wrong is immaterial now. Enjoy the cars.

Another question if you dont mind:

Why this varied collection at one go?

1951 Plymouth wagon with a Nissan diesel engine good condition, some body work and painting.
1967 Mercedes d200- body work done, needs painting and engine to be flushed and timing belt to be changed.
1959 Cheverolet Impala good condition. Hood need to be replaces.

Please post some more clear photos of the car. Is it currently under restoration.

Hello renjit,
I know these cars and the garage.
The 2 american cars have come form Thrissinapalley
The impala is having an ambassador engine.
the compact benx is from kerala itself
The plymmouth is having lot of patchwork .
did you really pay 10lakhs for this I am bit shocked because the guy was quoting just 3 lakhs for the plymmouth abt one or two month ago

Hi renjit when aquiring a project I always look at what it is going to cost me complete. And once i have the number through research, i look around for similar projects that are complete and for sale. You will be surprised that most of the times if you are lucky you land up finding similar complete and running/restored cars for much less with a lot less headache. In my opinion you consider that you have paid bulk of your funds for the impala as I am sure right here on the forum there were mint W115 cars for downwards of 2 lakhs.

Anyways no use lamenting about what has already happened, time to get going on the restoration for the above cars. rgds

I dont think that can be correct, because that impala is a 4 door sedan chopped of to make a baraath car and also doesnt look like it is having much originality except for the exterior

I thought, it's a good buy> I thought, it's difficult to find such cars in south india, especially kerala. all my cars are kerala regn, except these 2 new american........
Any way no regrets........... think value will increase with time.

this yellow car is a typical example of a cut and paste morris minor tourer.
You can find many such MM tourers in south INDIA.the funniest part is many are having books of tourers foisted on them so it is not that easy to distinguish them from the real tourer.real MM tourers came only on 2 door models and after a particular year (which I have to refer) the production of the tourer model was stopped.

Found this near alappuzha, trying to chase the owner.

Spotted a beautifully maintained MM near Ford Johnys work shop Thrissur , I love the way he maintains it , beautiful paint job though.

Can anyone tell me the make and model of the car used by khusboo in the malayalam movie "Uncle Bun"?

agree: The Morris Minor always had it on the left rear side of the body, near the bootlid and much lower in height.
