Do you have more details of this car and location in Tripunithura? I used to see a Beetle near Varma Clinic and a Standard 10 near Kannankulangara temple. And I'm pretty sure that both these cars are still running.

Sorry that I dont know the exact location of the cadillac from Tripunithara.It went to hyderabad in 2001 or so.
To the best of my info there is no aircooled beetle in Tripunithara as of now.(subject to correction) Standard 10 is still there.

Aah, so it IS a Pennant then!

A similar car was photo'd by jayd a few years ago lying in a garage, owner was said to want to keep the car until he died. Probably the same?

There used to be a Cadillac in Tripunithara till about 10 years ago.Hope you are not talking about it.?
@ajay99
I am not good with vintage cars . A photo of a similar cadillac or model info with which I can google will help me recollect.

@josejoseph
I cannot guarantee what I remember is correct . But that is the very same house I always gazed at , whenever I traveled that road. In my memories that big blue car used to be in the front right corner of that house. I might be wrong or mixing up things , but that is how it is etched in my memory.

Jose , that is the FACT-CD wall and must be somewhere near to Karimugal where you have taken the snap , right ??

Related to this , I saw an abandoned Fiat 1100 ( correct me here ) somewhere between Thripunithura and Puthiyakavu .

Oh Ok. Got bit carried away with nostalgic memories. I grew up in FACT CD township . There used to be many Standard Heralds , a few morris minors or a beetle in our township. As kids we used to make fun of a car by calling it "mootta vandi". This was in late 80's or early 90's.

Don't have much details , but thought this information might of be of some interest to you guys!!

There is a Morris Minor whose origins are in FACT township ,which is still in existence.The said car is a 1951 4 Door model with a KLK number.It went from Fact to njarakkal and was later restored by Koratty unni mistry and landed in Trivandrum where it still exists.it was bought by the present owner for Rs.25000/(restored condition) in 2004.That price was much below the market rate at that time ,but the reason nobody wanted that car is that there was some rumour attached to the vehicle.!

Yes it seems to be having a diesel engine and the rear suspension too looks modified to two leaf springs, a big change from ford's single and transverse. But the body line seems clean and cosmetics are more or less in place

Very strange that you are unable to recollect the place /car.
This is the dieselised RJ Re-registered 1947 Ford which came to Trichur (probably a Taxi from Junagadh).The car was with a scrapyard owner in Ollur(trichur) and was bought by the present owner for Rs.2lakhs in 2008 or so.The original gear box,differential, interiors, all have been changed.perhaps the dash and steering is still thr original
