Thanks to David !
Lovely bike. One of the better ones. Very comfortable to ride with four shock absorbers. But the front swing arm is set up for sidecar use. It would be a better ride with improved handling, in the city as a solo with the pin shifted to the rear. What happened to the original bing carb? The silencer is gleaming. Is it new or original?
Thanks for sharing the photos foby.sebastian..
Is there another Single in Guruvayur too? Pics?
Cheers

Probably a 1946/48 Oldsmobile. can experts tell us how to differentiate between the years? Maybe some small changes to the grill like Chevys?

foby.sebastian - can you share more pics of these cars? Any more in the collection?

If I remember correctly you had posted the photos of this Mini on another thread. This car had come from Bangalore to Kottayam ,about an year ago.At that time this was running on Tamilnadu number plates. Now there seems to be no number plates on it.This bug was featured in 2 local automagazines and a television show fastrack. It was mentioned therein that this is owned by the family who runs the IELTS coaching centres in Kottayam .

Re: Classics of Travancore, Cochin and Malabar

There was a BRITON(1910-1929) make ragtop car undergoing repairs in a workshop Piravom and Mulanturuthi at EKM an year back. The guy said it belongs to a Tripunithura family & it was yellow in shade and in a not so happy condition IIRC. This brand must be rare in India. He also had an 80's civic in questionable condition belonging to someone nearby the workshop itself. It's stuck there due to spares issue. Couldn't take pics then. Anybody know about their status?

The front of the BRITON here is similar to the one i saw.

Yes STAR motor company is related to BRITON.
