Ford Zodiac. MVD records indicate it as 1962 registration.

It is not exactly Travancore but TRAVANCORE COCHIN TRIVANDRUM registration which existed between 1950 and 1956.Incidentally this bus was in service till 1978 or so.The SKV motors and RKV motors were the prominent bus operators in Chirayinkil Taluk.

Is the car in the first picture a Baby Hindustan? The steering wheel of baby Hindustans are different; isn't it?

Probably a cracked cylinder head, Stags were notorious for cooling problems

Yes, I remember the Kazwa very well - made quite a noise when introduced.

I received an invitation to the grand launch in 1998 - don't ask me why, I don't remember

It is really strange that a 10 year old from Pune was invited for a launch function in Cochin. It seems although they didnt make the right vehicle they had the foresight to invite an Enthusiast in the making

Re: Classics of Travancore, Cochin and Malabar

Moskovich cars - During the 1990s there used to be Moskovich made Russian care in Thiruvananthapuram. During 1992, during a college visit to the city, we stopped at Hotel Chaithram. This car was parked outside. KBT regn, I think. It was a hit amongst us car buffs.

Anyone knows to whom it belonged?

Also, any more Moskovich cars in India now?
