Yes it certainly is, although can't say if it still shows the correct time always!

Syed, nice pics. Better detail than what I took of this car's interiors when I'd seen it at the HAIG rally.

Thanks syedhafeez the dash pictures of the Cadillac too are awesome. Typical of the American cars of the 1940's. The Hollywood film "Godfather" features this Cadillac model in a scene.

Hi Syed,
Great pictures. Shows you have a keen eye for detail. I have a '62 Herald saloon that I have converted to a convertible (Pic attached). It was a mammoth task to design the hood frame. I still haven't got it right. The pic of the morris minor convertible seems to be of some help! Thanks!

Hi there Love Her(ald!) Wow, and all this while I thought only I loved her(alds! ) Man we must meet up sometime!

Anyways, firstly welcome aboard!
At first I was a bit unnerved to read about your conversion, having seen what many owner-made convertible heralds in India look like.......until I saw your pic.
You seem to have carried it out quite well, done very much like an original convertible. I know of a similar '62 in the same colour here. 'was for sale a few months ago (and maybe still is!)
even your rims are painted in the correct off-white colour, quite a refreshing change from the silver-painted stuff I see on many classic cars!
I own a '62 as well, but I'm retaining it as a saloon.
Does your car have the unique cardboard dash and large smiths speedo, as per early heralds?
Any more pics. of your herald are not welcome, but a MUST!

And do visit the Standard cars in India thread! We'd love to have your interaction there.

Mods: I would request the last 2 posts (#39 and 40) in this thread to be moved to the Standard cars thread. Thanks.

The car is truly a beauty. By any chance do you have the pics of the conversion process? This might help as a guide to others who are planning to carry these out on their cars.

Yes, more pictures needed, really looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful car.
