Hi, I am new to the Forum. I live in Australia and am the Secretary of the Daimler & lanchester Owners' Club of Australia.
I have been contacted by a gentleman in India who i servicing a very fine Lanchester (with Daimler engine and fluid flywheel) for the owner.
he is having difficulty in sourcing the oil necessary for the car and also new tyres.
He needs to find a good quality Straight 30 grade Mineral oil and also a heavier oil for the Hypoid bevel Differential. he tells me that Castrol have been unable to help with stocks in India.
Does anyone have a contact who we could get in touch with and obtain supplies?

Also regarding tyres, he needs some 17 inch tyres (the original specification was 800 x 17 but 700 x 17 would be good too). Is there a suppier of 'antique tyres" in india who can help him?

I loko forward to your suggestions and also information about Daimlers and Lanchesters in India: I have seen the threads on the forum but would love to have more information.

Regarding engine oil I really wouldn't know, but for tyres I'm told Dr. Ravi Prakash of Bangalore is supplying a variety of tyres for vintage and classic cars. Dr Prakash also owns this lovely Lanchester.
