Speaking as a rank spectator, I can 'see' the following differences between the two marques :

1. Radiator grille & monogram
2. Windscreen wiper position
3. Sloping C pillar of the Citroen vis-vis the upright C pillar of the Rover
4. Shape of the mudguards ( especially the rear mudguard)
There are a few other, possibly lesser differences.
Would like to also add that the citroen is a Left hand drive and the Rover is a Right hand drive.

Wow !! awesome looking car, is the photo which makes it look faded or the car itself. Its been long long time or to be precise after my childhood I have never seen a long, shiny dodges with loads and loads of chrome fittings. Thanks for sharing this picture.

Re: KOLKATA - Daily Drivers found on the streets.

I returned to Calcutta late November and having been enjoying WBF-1 with it's fully rebuilt engine and free flow exhaust system. Always appreciated as I drive around the city and have put over 700 kms on it.

I am astonished how few old cars are now on the street. I saw one 50 Morris Minor at a mechanics nearby, no Fiats and only 8 Padminis. It seems that a plague has taken them all off to the big scrap yard in the sky!

The lowly Padmini has now become an Icon of this passing era, and I relish seeing the few that are around. Parts for them have become a serious problem!

If you have some storage space available, grab any you can and put them away as an investment and to pass on for prosperity.

Here a few that I was able to photograph.

Here are photos of most of the few Old Cars in the central pat of South Calcutta that I have seen recently.

They are so few around! Grab them while you can at reasonable prices!
