Yes Sir, this is exactly the car, BWP 120. Lovely picture never seen by me before. Do you have order sheets etc giving the specifications and special instructions. It is a very are right hand drive car. Thank you very much.

Lovely find. I visited the site and there is this text:

Owning a Packard automobile maybe have been the height of style and elegance in the United States, but they were also popular across the world. In Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, Packard’s quality craftsmanship was enjoyed by many. One prominent owner was Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah, also known as His Holiness the Aga Khan III, an honorary title given to the leader of the of the Nizari Ismaili Muslim Community. .........At the age of twenty he was made a “Knight of the Indian Empire” by Queen Victoria of England. He was also made Knight Commander of the Order of the Indian Empire by Edward VII in 1902, and a Knight Grand Commander of the Order of the Star of India by George V in 1912. Some of his other accomplishments include being a founding member of the All-India Muslim league ...........In 1928 Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah the Aga Khan III visited the Aimila Automobile Company in Bombay, India. There he purchased a Packard Eight Limousine from Packard salesman H.C. Mitha.

Ever heard of Aimila Automobile Company in Bombay? I always thought that it was only Dadajee. Maybe someone knows how to ask the source for more info.

Cheers harit

It appears the shutters were made by the Pines Winter Front Company of Chicago.

A Presidential Packard with the same shutters ; and a description of the shutters can be seen here:

Why the Aga Khan needed it in Bombay is beyond me. The Aga Khan car also seems to sport a Packard Hood Ornament AND a Motometer!

The Winter Front came in "toy" sizes too! Here is a pedal Packard sporting one.

Re: Packards in India

I haven't checked to see if this is indeed a Packard. Previous "Birla" Packards have been white.
