Vintage & Classic Car Parts

Can someone suggest some Classic Cars part Dealer in Mumbai ?

It will be great if he is quiet reliable. I especially need for Chevorlet.

I would also be happy if someone could suggest a good mechanic for the same.

If I have posted in the wrong section, then I am sorry but guys please help me out with information.

Visit CST Road Kurla Mumbai, no genunine dealer but you might find some good stuff there going at dirt rates.

Second location is the erstwhile Chor Bazaar.. i am sure many other members of this forum can guide u more on these two locations.

For everyones benefit why dont you put up the price with each item you post? It saves unnecessary time wasters troubling you as well.

Could we add motorcycle parts here too, or is it strictly for cars?

Well Why don't you make a seperate thread so it is easy for the bikers to access and don't need to go through streams of car posts to get bike info would make life easier for the bikers and the car freaks

Thanks Canonball for starting this thread. I was wondering for long time why no one started this.
Yes, Classifieds thread is there, but this is only for vintage and classics.

I think one thread is enough for both Cars and bikes.

This thread should not become a business place,

can't we call this thread as "Vintage and Classic Parts available / wanted"

as KARL said please put up all details along with price tag so if some one thinks it good for him, then he can contact the fellow Tbhpians through Pm's.

regards

karl,girishpv,
in my view I would not like to mention the prices quoted by the dealers in this thread, because the perceptions differ .
If some enthusiast restorer really wants it he can pm and I can give the details etc.
also till date I am fortunate enough not to have any "'time wasters'' troubling me!!!

Perceptions indeed differ, but I still dont understand why you would prefer not disclosing on the public forum. Where is the harm? It keeps us aware of what is happening.

Actually, the "time wasters" as you term them, will trouble you through PM. At least on the open forum they will not.
I also would agree to the idea of posting the price of the item shown.

I will explain in detail about the harm in quoting the price on a public forum.
for example : say a guy is quoting X rupees for an NOS part in place 1,
the same item may be available at Y rupees which may be higher/lower in place2.so why make a heartburn for the guy you has paid more??
via the pm route the buyer can always take an unbiased opinion based on his need/quality of the item
this is my view , you may agree to disagree!!!

Noted sir... but thats not the issue, whoever used the term. A time waster is a time waster. I was not referring to the term as derogatory, only stating that such people would not then contact you if you posted the price on the forum, as a few of us have already said.

I think to quote or not to quote the price tag is best left to the guy who posts the information.
