I would request that if we could rest our cases till then and continue this discussion once i have more pictures of the car.

The engine has been taken off the car and we shortly going to start work on it.

I will upload all the pics once i have got them together.

Hope that is alright with everyone.

Aw why can't you fly down there this evening and get the pics uploaded ASAP.

How can you ask us to wait for a full month. Some of us might not survive that long !!!

like Lowey actually wanted...
Sorry Wasif, me thinks the options could only be between a Golden or Sky Hawk. No other talons for me!

Now, where's that bottle of Coke...?

You said Flight Hawk and not Sky Hawk, my friend. Sorry I don't mean to rub it in or , just clarifying.

Cheers,

Prabal (and not Parbal, or Parboil or Parabola - don't believe MS Word).

Hi I spoke with the owner /restorer of the Hawk here and he said his son supplies all of the parts you need. I didn't get a website or email address but here is his phone number for you . ;
Christopher Skinner,
617 3324 0024
he can supply almost anything you want . In the meantime they have been doing this,a car with a veery close Studebaker Connection. A very early Brooke Stevens Excalibur.Powered with a McCulloch Super charged Studebaker V8 on a Stude Daytona Chassis ,they were styled (loosely) after a Mercedes SSK.

Hi,
Have appreciated you carrying on with this thread and look forward to returning to Calcutta in November and spend more time at your dads works.
He has had a fairly low profile in Calcutta and it is good to see some light shed on his great work.

In 1959 I purchased a 1932 Studebaker Rockne roadster during university and later a 1953 Champion coupe, a 1954 coupe with a Chevy V8 set up for the 1/4 mile and a very nice 1954 hard top with the V8. Wish I have kept the 32 and hard top.

I would be pleased to try and find some parts here in Toronto for you if I had the specs. Best bet is to get in contact with the Studebaker clubs in the US as they have more cars and parts available.

The first photo is of my car that I sold back in 1968 and was able to track it down in Florida. When I had it, it was 95% original with a paint job similar to the second photo except the fenders were the same colour as the body.
I have to find some photos of the the 53 & 54's although I think they got turfed.

Best regards John

Astonishing car and amazing pictures. Indrojit I appreciate you sir for the interest and eye for detail. Thank god the care came to the right place where it deserves. I was lucky enough to see one in red color Hyderabad at a vintage rally. I guess most of the MG's are painted in red, however they come in other colors aswell. This angel in white colour is feast for the eyes. It must be time consuming, costly and laborious to restore any vintage/classic car, however once the beauty is done all the pains taken vanishes off leaving a sweet memory and pride of possessing one. MG's are a must for a collectors to call a complete collection. I thanks all who indulge in restoring and reviving these magnificent machines.
