Correct me anybody if i'm wrong. But for a fact i have heard from a lot of people that any UN cars cannot be sold to anyone else.I am saying this because there was a very nice UN car lying around in calcutta which an uncle of mine wanted to buy.He aproached them and they said that they have to be scrapped infront of the officials incharge.I believe they have to cut the car in small bits and cannot be sold to any one else.Has anyone faced a similar situation or heard of something similar?

Actually these are not UN vehicle, i mean not owned by them. They are indian army vehicles which may have went for over seas duty.

they are auctioned as any other army vehicle, like those in mayapuri

The Indian army used to have these trucks wuite a few years ago. This was i guess when TATA had sarted their trucks as TATA Mercedes trucks.Don't think many of them exist today. This one needs a lot of work it seems.

Sorry for going offtopic what would the price be of these vehicles ?

Yes you are right. These are highly desirable original merc engined. Then labeled 312. later tata copied it and made 1210D.

The one that MSK's and his friend bought was at an exorbitant price. Will ask him first to disclose the price.
