Re: International Jawa Day on 8th July in Bangalore

Hi Guys, I'm not sure if the organizers are seeing this thread but my father was a big fan of Yezdi and Jawa in the 70's and owned a couple of bikes which I'm now looking for in order to purchase to remain in my family

Yezdi Classic Registration DLX 7419
Jawa Registration DLX 3388

Both bikes were purchased and used in Delhi so I'm unsure of how to actually trace them (unless they've kept their original registrations until now).

If anyone spots it at the event please can you let me know?

If there are any Delhi based Yezdi/Jawa enthusiasts please can you spread the message?

Thanks all.

Re: Where is it now? - Lost & Found Classics

This fiat used to be in our family for a long time. My father owned it for almost 15 years and never purchased another car after this. It was later sold in Chennai to someone who initially used it as a taxi. I was just wondering if, in one in a million chance, that it has survived. The registration number is TMO 5820.

Where was the car located when your family owned it? TMO is very much a TN number.

Yes , it was with us in Vellore , when this photo was taken. It travelled with us to Chennai where it was sold. It was always a tamil nadu car.

Re: Where is it now? - Lost & Found Classics

I came across this picture in the archives of the 'Marine Embassy Guard Association'. This picture was taken by the US Marine detachment that was attached to the Calcutta Consulate. This picture is dated 1986. The cars are not part of the consulate, but part of a city sightseeing album taken by own of the soldiers.

The location looks to be Chowringhee, with the Grand Hotel Arcade behind it. Interesting picture. I wonder whose W123 was this. Not many around in Calcutta in the mid-80s. Looks to be a DL number.

21 pages on and most of us are still clueless on the whereabouts of these cars. Isn't there a formal procedure to determine the latest or last updated details from the authorities?

Almost 10 years ago I had posted about our family Wolseley. Finally found a couple of pictures dated 1962.

Re: Classic Cars available for purchase

In reply to my post searching for our old Morris Minor KLR 2579, I received a photo of a Blue and White Morris Minor from one of my Facebook friends and it looks like the Morris Minor I am searching for. I could not get any further details about the car. The photo is attached herewith. Does any of my fellow BHPians know this car? I think that the car could be in Palakkad - Coimbatore area
