Deccan Heritage Automobile Association (DHAA) after its successful display of Vintage Cars and Motorcycles at HIAS 09,is organising yet another edition on Vintage Car and Motorcycle Display at the Chowmahalla Palace in Hyderabad to bring alive the rich tradtion of Hyderabadi Culture and Vintage Automobiles which go hand in hand.This event also marks the celebration of the Independance day.
Against the perfect backdrop of Chowmahalla Palace and in the Bandstand Gardens of the this true Nizamian architectural example,DHAA will line up some of the best Vintage Cars and Motorcycles of its members and other passionate owners of these Automobiles.
The brief program of the day will be as follows:
Date : August 15th 2009.
Location : Chowmahallah Palace,Khilwat,Hyderabad
Time : 1100h - 1600h
Lunch : 1300h-1400h (only for members of DHAA)

BTW, I dont mean to stir a hornet's nest or something but could I ask if, like the HIAS, the number of entrants for this show too will be pre-selected and limited to a certain number of cars/bikes?

Also what about the usual show at Lumbini Park?

Shyam..You raised a valid point.
The DHAA show will asusal begin with Motorcycles at Lumbini Park and followed by the Flag hoisting,the Motorcycles will move to Chowmahalla for the Display.
Cars will reach Chowmahalla earlier due to security reasons.
You may please bring your Pennant and Lambretta.
@Suren I hope your Fiat Elegant will join us at Chowmahalla.

I would love to join in at Lumbini park. (This will also obviate the need for me to find my way to Chowmohalla).

@Raveendra..We will assemble at Lumbini Park (Parking Lot) at 9.30am and leave to Chowmahalla by 10.30am.Thats the plan as of now.
We are facing lot of Security issues as of now as the route to Chowmahalla will be barricaded through Lad Bazar.This was ascertained after my recent recee to Chowmahalla.
In any case we are sure to begin the display at Lumbini Park at 9.30am,as there are no many security restrictions here.
You are most welcome to join with Mihiran and friends.

After lot of Security deliberations with AP Police and Chowmahalla Management,it has been decided to start the Display of Cars and Motorcycles directly at Chowmahalla Palace at 11am on 15th August 2009.
Hence the initial meeting at the Lumbini Park is cancelled.
All can reach Chowmahalla palace by 11am.

The chief guest will be the Consulate General of US Embassy,Mr.Cornelieus Keur.

Chief, would you also be kind enough to give directions to reach the venue, as far as Old City goes I only know the way to Chaderghat/Afzalgunj (thanks to Stanher), Salarjung Museum & Charminar (thanks to family & friends) and Imlibun Bus terminus (thanks to friends again).

Pardon my ignorance, but whats the criteria or having a bike/car on display as vintage? I thought the Jawas are not old enough. Also, is there a minimum level of originality, a must? Can anyone enlighten me about it.

SAme is my question i thought i wouldn't ask but since gendaremee has asked i would also ask that i don't think the mercedes is old enough to be featured.
