Thanks Srinand for these great pictures.

Rolls Royce that needs to be identified, followed by Aston Martin (???)
Lanchester

The experts can correct me!

Wow, thanks for those magnificent cars!

The first picture looks like a 1933 Chrysler Imperial. Notice the unique "Lalique" Rabbit Ornament on the cowl top (in front of windshield).

The second picture is a custom Lanchester (looks like Nawanagar). Interesting bicycle front wing to running board line - kind of like the Kashmir Mercedes SS.

Re: Nostalgic automotive pictures including our family's cars

Srinand,
Excellent finds those old Udaipur photos.
Do you or anyone else know the registrations on these two?
The royal plate, I just cannot read and the other looks like P.O.M. 5. This is not a normal 1902 series registration. Prince of Mewar?
Cheers
Cedric

The plate for the Udaipur R-R is R.U.M.8. It was also registered UDAIPUR-4 Mewar.

A couple of the Udaipur cars used R.U.M. (probably Royal ? Udaipur Mewar

The Lanchester is "Nawanagar State No.2"

The more I think about it, R.U.M. was probably Rajputana Udaipur Mewar

Re: Nostalgic automotive pictures including our family's cars

Melanie Webb of the famous Webb Family has posted some nostalgia pictures on https://www.facebook.com/groups/bygonebangalore/ .

The Webb's had Chevrolet and Lambretta Dealerships in Bangalore. The had a huge set up bang in the middle of M G Road, where the Raheja Towers now stands. The were closely associated with the Bangalore Motor Sports Club, which is now defunct.

Our sincere thanks for Melanie Webb for sharing these pictures on FB

This appears to be a Bentley. First picture taken in front of the High Court

The famous 1952 Bentley, still with the family in Australia (I guess) as they emigrated there

Yes Wasif this is the same Bentley. I think they took it to Australia when the family migrated there.

Amazingly good and nostalgic pictures, KPS. Thanks

Pardon my total ignorance. However, I do not think that at least the first two pictures are a Bentley - an Alvis Sports Saloon perhaps ? The third one is not Bentley either. Cheers
