@Rehaan - Awesome pictures. Remove the people in the first pic and you can sell it as a pic straight out of "The Gods must be crazy" or "Born Free"

re: Nostalgic automotive pictures including our family's cars

Hi All,

Here is another pic of the Rolls, again unfortunately covered, on the day of my grand uncle and aunts wedding ceremony, right outside the gate of my house. Circa mid-1920s.

re: Nostalgic automotive pictures including our family's cars

Now back after holidays. Saal Mubarak to all fellowmen.
This is a 1939 Dodge, today this very car is being restored in Mumbai. Today the headlights are round, should be rectangular. Restorer will recognize the number!
I got this lot from the bazar, there are other pictures too to be put up later. Hope this picture helps in restoration.

Cheers harit

Thats the Willys Station Wagon. Available for as low as 5 grand with scrapers 10-15 years ago. And to find an unmolested example is a rarity.

First Ever Across The Himalayas By Motor Transport

Hi, I am a new member here, I was following this superb thread 4 months back and then was away from all forums due to over load of work. I did Burzil Pass 14200 feet in Last July on my unimog and before that did some research on who did it first on transport & found these photos.

Trans Asiatic Harrdt-Cintrogen Expedition in crossing the 14,000 ft high Burzil and other passes between Srinagar and Gilgit and in 1931.

Waziristan And The March to Razmak - The North West Frontier, 1936

British battalions were stationed along the 1500-mile strip of mountainous corridor that separated British Administered India from Afghanistan. (Currently the border between Pakistan & Afghanistan)

Razmak was established in 1923 after the end of the third Afghan war. which began in 1919. It lies in the centre of Waziristan, on the border between two tribes, the Mahsuds and the Wazirs. Found these photos which doesn't have a vintage car but does have some interesting trucks & armored cars:
