That's right, I remember harit saying so. Interesting to note the plates were stamped/embossed then btw! No idea whether was a standard issue or custom-made plate, if you could afford it.

My grandmother, Clara Pinto will be 101 and a half in another week, and is still very sharp in mind~ She settled in Bangalore in the 50s, and drove from 1938, when she was 20 all the way until she was 92, in 2010! Even more rare, she knew how to fix cars as she would drive back and forth between Bangalore and her coffee plantation near Hassan~If anyone has lived through what Bangalore was and has become, it is this remarkable lady, and thanks to her, no matter how far we have settled we will always call Bangalore home

A rare OM (Officine Meccaniche) car in Calcutta, wonder if it survives !

That might have been the case looking at the registration no. and also since this picture is supposedly from the 1960's.
