The father-in-law of my great great-grandfather, Kumar Brindaban Churn Law belonged to the famous Law family of the then Calcutta and he was the grandson of Maharaja Durga Churn Law, and son of Raja Kristo Dass Law. Born on 1876, he had his schooling from Hindu College. A famous landlord, he was also a partner of Messrs P. K Law & Co., one of the oldest merchant houses in Calcutta. Brindaban Churn Law passed away in 1953, leaving his only daughter and heiress, Jayabati Paul.

My great great-grandfather, Nalin Chandra Paul (b. 1886) belonged to the famous Paul family of Chinsurah. His father, Girish Chandra Paul was a renowned advocate of Cuttack Court and Calcutta High Court.

His services were involved in divers highly-recognized projects, such as forming Kulty water project, the Calcutta Tramways and CESC, development of S.S. Hogg Market, and so on.

Born Cowasjee Cursatjee, he was the son of Sir Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy, the second baronet. Jejeebhoy inherited the baronetcy from his brother, Menekjee.

It was the fourth Baronet who came to be viewed as the leader of the Parsi community throughout the world. He was a well-known Bombay businessman, and in 1902 was chosen to represent the city at the Coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra.
