What's the exact Itinerary ? Where are you guys leaving from, and where/what time returning ? Though I can't make it because of a family function, I'd love to meet up with the gang at some point if possible..

I don't have exact details (Rony, can you oblige?). I don't suppose participant's list is disclosed before the event. I hope you are joining.

From what I understand departure is around 8 30 at Inorbit mall at Vashi.

I was hoping you would participate with the Chevy. But if you are coming, do bring out the Rolls rather than the Nano

Just got back from the event. Went off very well, with an interesting assortment of cars turning up. I was driving President's superb 1957 Fiat (of which I realise I have not taken any photos today). The cars got a chance to stretch their legs on the expressway, something which everyone really appreceated. I look forward to more such events in the future.

Here are some pictures (in alphabetical order)

Superb Alvis Speed Pilot of Vijay Mallya - this car was something else!

Great pics Karl do keep the rest coming.

The pick of the bunch would obviously have to be the Alvis, very interesting colour scheme, any idea if this is original ?

The Lancia Flaminia is surely a show stopper and my second fav choice here followed by the Jag 2.5, what a remarkable restoration, any history on this car?

The only thing I could find fault with on the Jag is the wheel spinners. These type came on cars which had those aftermarket steel discs covering the spokes. The original that would have been on this car would have been the ones with twin "ears" on them.

Would love to hear from Morris 1948 on this, who I am assuming is responsible for this classy job !!

On the whole I have noticed that the quality of paint finish on some of these cars is remarkable and on par with what is achieved in the west. Indian paint processes look like they have finally matched international standards.

BTW what is that black car on the right of the second Roadmaster picture showing its rear.

Lovely pictures, you guys evidently had a great time !! Wish I could've made it ..
How did the older cars perform on the expressway ? Especially the older pre-war Fords, etc. Any cars stalled/overheated etc ? This must be a real long drive, longer than the usual VCCCI runs...

There were a couple of hiccups, but nothing major. It was a real thrill to see these cars gunning it on the expressway.
