This car I think is in Jaipur, with Speedy's uncle.

And while going through my archives I found something unique.

Sometime back this picture was posted showing a '50s Cadillac sedan in an old movie (I think Tamil). Can't find the link.

Cadillacs in India-caddy13.jpg

I noticed the same car appeared in a rally in Bangalore after a long time, belonging to owners of Deccan Herald.

Cadillacs in India-caddy06.jpg

A '48 (?) sedan with the Jodhpur royal family.

Cadillacs in India-jodhpurcaddy1.jpg

A unique 1938 tourer, I think still owned by the Government. I assume all pictures show the same car.

I think this car is what they call a heritage taxi at many palace hotels. I think it is now in two tone cream and maroon, along with a Dodge Kingsway, 47 Chrysler, and 47 buick at a Jaipur palace hotel. Subject to correction.

I wonder where this massive limo is now. Earlier she was in Mumbai, MRH registered, went to Delhi to a Mr. Shah. If someone could check the AutoIndia magazines within the first 2 years of inception, they will find an article on this very car. She may have had a Kuwait connection.

Hi, but sorry there is no 1900's Caddy known to most of us in India. Please do try to show some evidence, memory is not convincing enough.
There are many more Caddy's in India, bring them up please.

Cheers harit

Exactly, that was the name. Did you google that?
Sorry, no Caddies, I do not play golf.
Only the elusive V16, I do not have pictures. I believe that it exists because this was tols to me by two totally opposite people, not contact with each other, and both mention the same mechanical defect. Let us see where this leads to.
BTW, did Rashidbhai have any early Caddies?

Cheers harit

Harit its not gonna show on a Google search, one has to google ones mind for bits like this !!!

Most of Rashid Bhai's cars are from the mid to late thirties onwards so no "early" Caddies !!

Also I never got to see his Aston Martin that you mentioned. Maybe its just a rumour !!!

This is a picture of a much discussed Cadillac Limo. I never realised that I might have seen this car or that I might even have pics of it so when I found it and another picture of its companion the Hupmobile Sedan I wanted to add it to this thread.

This is a Cadillac Limo that used to belong to the Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad and used extensively to ferry around the Governor.

I think this was later auctioned off and now may belong to Capt Pestonjee.

Hi Karl.

Those pictures of the Rajisthan Government Caddy are not of the same car. The first and second car look very much alike but they have rear doors hinged different from each other. The moulding along the top of the doors is also different

The third fourth and fifth picture are of the same car as in the second picture.

Dominator.

There si another Caddy visible in your picture on the left of the car next to the Deccan Herald car you just posted. Do you have nay pics or info ont his ?

Loving the '52 TVS Caddy and all the other cars in this thread too. Thanx for the visual pleasure of seeing these big berthas on wheels. Cadillac is my favorite sedan brand.
