The Ford looks like a 1932 Model B which came in a 4 or V8. A lot of incorrect items on it but it's still with us and can always be restored to more original specifications. Did you have a chance to photograph the engine? Check out Sanjay Goshs 32 Ford V8 from the Tolly Car Show or Statesman Rally. |
Thanks john! 'will check that out.
No, sorry I didn't get to take a peek at the engine bay I'm afraid! The owner was actually not present most of the time after parking the car there, and I had to leave a bit early too, so couldn't catch them.

1. Yup, I noticed that too and offered an original pair I have to hillram. He was too glad about it and said I could give them to him anytime, so that problem's solved.
2. Why don't you ask him about it??

That Yellow Ford convertible is not a Model A but the replacment of the Model A which was launched in 1932. This car could be most likely a Model B, what kind of engine did it have. This could be a V8 as the new Ford V8 was introduced in this year on this bodystyle. The dash, wood cappings on the doors and the bumper on the rear are not original though.
The Ford Jeep you posted without an ignition key is a very original car. It hass the data plates in almost new condition, are the reproduction plates ?
The covered item in front is a military siren also a period accessory.
What is the reg number on this Jeep and who owns it. A very well kept car. Please put up some engine pics too. |
Thanks wasif!
I did realise the Ford tourer's steering wheel isn't original but didn't realise all those other bits you mention werent too!!
Yes, I too liked the Ford Jeep! And yes, noticed the first-aid box under the dash too. Thanks for the knowledge on the siren.
'dont recall the number, sorry! I hope someone else has taken pics. of it from the outside.

Raj, surely you jest...hehe!
1965 make huh? I'd like to have that camera in that case!
What brand?
Any of you guys are welcome to upload any pics. that you took......you might have some that I missed out. And also would be helpful to me whenever my net conks out, as it did even today!
OK, continuing from my last post, here are the pics. of the 2-wheelers, starting with the bikes:
A collection of 5 different models of Jawa, all owned by the same person (seen in the pink shirt and white cap)! The black one ADX 6838 is, I heard, what was called as "skirt jawa", because of the fender-skirts on either side of the rear mudguard. It was made so because in those days, women usually wore skirts or skirt-like outfits all the time, in which case they would naturally have to sit sideways. So the skirts ensured that they could without the risk of their skirt ends getting entangled in the spokes. A kind of predecessor to the now common Saree-guard I guess!
BSA Bantam, one of my favourites. There were 2 of these present.
More to follow.........sorry, my net is really erratic!
