We are very pleased to inform you that the Heritage Motoring Club of India will be displaying about 100 Vintage & Classic Cars, Motorcycles and Scooters at the XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi. “The Commonwealth Classic Exposition” will be during the entire duration of the Commonwealth Games October 3-14, 2010 at a 60,000 sq. feet secured, covered, carpeted and lighted display area. The location of our display is a demarcated area at Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.

The HMCI display will be a part of the Cultural activities calendar of the Commonwealth Games and will be heavily advertised in the electronic, print, radio and internet media. The Organizing Committee of the Commonwealth Games, the Delhi Government and all supporting Government Departments including the NDMC and Delhi Police have enthusiastically supported our display and we expect lakhs of visitors (comprising the general public, participants at the Games, Officials, Indian and foreign tourists, diplomats and dignitaries) to our display.

Our Club’s display at the Commonwealth Games is happening entirely due to the vision and efforts of our President, Mr. K. T. S. Tulsi, Senior Advocate and the kind longstanding support and cooperation extended by Shri M. S. Gill Hon’ble Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and Smt. Sheila Dikshit, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi.

Our fully sponsored display at the Commonwealth Games will be executed as an international event and is probably a first in the entire history of the Commonwealth Games.

The HMCI Commonwealth Classic Exposition Committee is chaired by Mr. K. T. S. Tulsi, President, HMCI. Mr. R. N. Seth, Mr. Jitendra Pandit, Mr. S. B. Jatti, Mr. Diljeet Titus and Mr. Chetan Vohra are members of this Committee. Members of HMCI who wish to commit to actively work from now on in the planning and execution of this very important HMCI event are welcome to contact me and join us to make this pathbreaking classic event a huge success.

As we intend to display the best of 100 cars and two wheelers belonging to members of the HMCI in India, we are calling for select entries from members in Delhi, Rajasthan, Kanpur, Poona, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkatta, Indore and other cities in India.
