I am wondering why still no answer to what prizes were given and who won them. And who was the judge/who were the judges.
Meanwhile, why not select the car you would have liked to win, after looking at whatever photos have been put up and post your choice.

I noticed this DeSoto has an unsightly floor shift gear stick sticking out - dieselised?





Otherwise a super looking car, what with the continental spare kit and all.

Yes, the Desoto is diselised and a very silent one too, it apparently is a Palace Hotel car used to pick guest from the Udaipur airport. It has a Conti Kit, floor shift, an AC, the works.

I'll put pics of the Pune car over the weekend, the pune car was present only on day 1(display) of the event. And a phenomenal restoration job it surely is.

The DeSoto is indeed dieselised, it is the Deogarh car. All original componets have been kept, the car can be reverted back to original. The reason for dieselisation was reliability, to keep the cars running for long distances like airport pick-up and drops. In the past other heritage hotels too had Classic taxi's, but reliability was often an issue. They have lovely Dodge carriers too and go off-roading.
I personally liked the Pune car very much. Why was it there only on the 1st day? This also happened to the Bean, it was not there on the second day. There were issues, so if someone please puts up the list of prizes and winners, we will be in the know. Maybe there was a news item in the local papers, it could be scanned and posted.

This Rolls came to Mumbai from Kolkata late 1980's early 1990's by train, she was sold to a Parsi family at Malabar Hill. Due to some problem the car was not used and from there went to Chor Bazar. Then on to Jaipur, now I believe has moved on again. Will also try to get the VIN number.

A dieselised car with a gear shift sticking out like an obnoxius appendage , atleast the owners ( deogarh with whatever that name implies ) could have spared us the trouble of commenting on this car-i-cature. Keep it in the garage and use it to ferry the guests , it does not matter when the issue is commercial .

Secondly how are diesels more reliable than the petrols - petrol cars have always been more reliable than the diesel versions commercial considerations aside . On the vintage car forum such cars should be ignored .

Sorry Harit if the above is a bit harsh - but the comment after 4 + 3.
