Thanks Bulldogji for liking the pictures. I will put forth your proposal before our members during our next general body meeting.

I would like to share a joke here. The Rolls Royce Phantom II was the fiirst car to reach the venue yesterday. It was parked just opposite the main gate of Bapu Kutir in Sewagram. Visitors in good numbers gave very curious looks and clicked many pictures posing alongside the car. My Landmaster was the second car to reach the venue. I caught up with our CIVAA member Mr Shirish Deodhar, who had piloted the Rolls. He told me that the crowds were heard saying that this Rolls Royce belonged to Mahatma Gandhi and is on display here for public viewing.

The journey back to Nagpur via the Sonawane Petrol Pump, Wardha. The parked cars and bikes were clicked at the Petrol Pump of our host for the evening tea and snacks. In fact Mr Sonawane is also a vintage enthusiast and owns a Matchless, RE Ensign and Honda bikes. He also owns a Laxmi (KGP) and an Enfield Mofa moped.













































(Note: the Matchless, RE Ensign, Honda, Enfield Mofa and Laxmi (KGP) two wheelers are from Wardha (Maharashtra) and did not participate in the 170 km run)

Yesterday (02.05.2015) evening, the Central India Vintage Automotive Association organised a 85 km run from Nagpur-Hingna- Bor Forest roads - Bazargaon - NH 6- Nagpur.

The day tempreture was 45 degrees Celsius, but the evening drive was quite pleasant. Nearly 30 kms of the run was through dark, forest roads. None of the participants could not sight any wildlife in the Bor forest.

None of the cars gave any major trouble and completed the run successfully. The Contessa (Modern classic) was our pilot car. Among the other cars were Willys, Ford, Landrover, Jonga jeeps, a 1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster and a 1965 Ambassador.The last picture shows the team members and families assembled for dinner at Bazargaon (Hotel Atharva).The run commenced at 6 pm and ended at around 11.45 pm.

The common thread that linked all cars and MUV's was their tough build and better ground clearences that withstood some rough patches along the route.

And yeah- there's a distinctive red '57 FIAT 1100 (Complete with the 'Centrelight' ) near the Hitvada head office in Nagpur.

Saw the famed Standard 10 parked near our place again. Rusting in peace.

There are actually two Centrelights around, the one at a garage near Hitvada Office and Other one( Black) near Reshimbag Ground. One Standard which is restorable and complete is lying at Laxmi nagar and other one in bad state at a garage at Untkhana.

Well- Have been seeing the 'complete' car for quite a while.

And pics...well I did take some. Now where did they go?

Yesterday 02/08/2015, the Central India Vintage Automotive Association (CIVAA) , Nagpur organised a nearly 190 kms MONSOON RUN for its members and their families to a village Pardi Deshmukh in Nagpur district.

The cars assembled at Limbanna Motors, Mount Road, Nagpur.

The route taken to reach this village was nearly 145 kms viz. Nagpur-Kamptee (NH 7)-Khaparkheda-Saoner (Nagpur- Bhopal highway)-Mohpa-Pardi Deshmukh (145 kms). The return journey was from Pardi Deshmukh - Kalmeshwar- Fetri- Nagpur (45 kms). Our CIVAA President Mr C.S. Deshmukh has his 120 year old farmhouse and farm in and around this village respectively.

A total of 35 persons including members and their families were in attendance. The Nagpur Yamaha Group with their Rajdoot Yamaha RD 350 bikes too reached the farmhouse, had lunch with us and we all spent some time in the huge farms thereafter. Finally, around 5.00 pm we began our return journey (45 kms).

No car faltered and it was a pleasure to have such a hassle free 190 kms run.

Tomorrow 18/10/2015, a limited number of cars and bikes of team CIVAA will be on display at the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur from 9.30 am till evening. The event is a two day festival called AXIS 2015 being organised by the faculty and students.
