CIVAA is organising a Republic Day run on 26/01/2012. The cars and bikes shall assemble at Shree Automobiles, Ramdaspeth from 8.00 am onwards and the first automobile is expected to be flagged off at 8.30 am for the run traversing all major arterial roads of the Orange City. S/Shri Purvesh Patel and Arif Iqbal are coordinators for the event. Members are to confirm participation by 24th January. Non-members are also welcome to participate and may contact Shri Ajay Pandhe, Secretary (m) 9422109848. Outside Nagpur entries are welcome with no participation fees- the General Body has approved their fee waiver !

The Orange City CIVAA, Republic Day run was successfully organised today morning.The overall coordinator for the event was Shri Purvesh Patel, while S/Sh Arif Iqbal, Ashish Limbanna and Mehul Patel coordinated.Our President Shri C.S. Deshmukh, Vice President Shri Shahrukh Cassad and Secretary Shri Ajay Pandhe oversaw all the preparations.
The cars and two wheelers assembled at M/s Shree Automobiles and were flagged off at around 9.15 am. The finish point was also M/s Shree Automobiles.
The gathering was overwhelming, with many two wheelers and cars participating. There were a few new entries into the CIVAA circuit. A Ford Fairlane and a Willys CJ 3B made their CIVAA debut and completed the run, while a Hindustan 14 (Cartier Show 2011 fame) was on display. Today, not a single few car or two wheeler suffered any break downs mid way. Touchwood!! Shows that CIVAA members give their heart and soul for keeping the oldies running.

Incidentally,he was with me in my Landmaster, while his brother Anupam, was at the wheels of their Chevrolet Chevelle (MPX 1). Also with me in my car were friends S/Shri Arun Chaurasia (navigating) and S. Natesan.

Recently,the members of CIVAA had an impromptu dinner meet with Nicole and Roland Thiele of Germany. Nicole & Roland are traveling from Germany in a Mercedes caravan and were in Nagpur due to a truck hitting their van from the rear 30 kms from Nagpur. Luckily, only the right rear door was damaged and but had to be replaced. Their wait for the door to be imported and delivered in Nagpur resulted in our meeting them.

On the afternoon of 16th Feb., we got to know that it was Nicole’s birthday and we decided to have a birthday party for her. The time was short but we hoped to surprise & delight this wonderful and adventurous couple by giving them some pleasant memories of Nagpur and help them forget an unpleasant incident.

Nicole & Roland are now on way their way back to Germany via Nepal, China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Hungary and Austria to finally reach Germany by May/June 2013.

We wish them a safe & wonderful journey back home.

Its summer but the vintage beauties like to remain alive and kicking! This time CIVAA had organised a run yesterday evening (25/03/2012), to a spot 25 kms from Nagpur on the National Highway no. 7 (Nagpur- Hyderabad or Allahabad- Kanyakumari). The starting point was Limbanna Motors, Mount Road, Nagpur where all the machines had assembled.The cars and bikes moved towards Hyderabad starting at 4.00 pm. Traversing through Civil Lines, Dharampeth, Bajaj Nagar, Ramdaspeth, Dhantoli and later moving towards the airport on NH 7 the bikes and cars moved all the way. The highway is in quite a good condition as of now and the beauties just glided all along the route. We all reached the Reliance Petrol pump ( now turned into a highway snack bar of "Goods and Kappee" managed by the Shree Surya Group) situated on the highway to rest the machines, while most of us had the evening snacks.
The return journey commenced after a brief halt and we were all back by 7.30 pm at Limbanna Motors. The event was coordinated by Mr Shahrukh Cassad, Vice President , CIVAA with active support of other office bearers and members.
As one will see, the CIVAA bike collection is reaching newer heights and the pictures will do the talking.

CIVAA is organising a Vintage and Classic Car and Bike display on 15th August 2012, in the premises of M/s Arun Automobiles, Khamla Square, in West Nagpur. The display as always will feature some exotics, apart from the usual displays and a few surprises are in store too!
The timing will be from 9.00 am to 4 pm as of now. Any further information will be added as updates here.
There will be no run, but only a static display.
