Re: Vintage Rallies & Shows in India

Thanks Karl. Normally we would have planned a weekend in Poona, and seen the cars. Tomorrow is not feasible. Nitins cars, Ruias cars and the Poonawala cars are well known to me. If there are others, maybe you will take pictures and post them for all of us to enjoy? Thanks for the information on the museum. Does one have to call in advance or can we just land up? Lullanagar sounds familiar. Is it the area straight ahead from main street/east street passing the Poona high priests house on the left?? Your idea of a rally incorporating a visit to the museum is a good idea. Why not suggest it for the next rally? Or we could do a friendly bombay poona drive, ending at the museum? Kasli, are you listening??

Kasli listening loud and clear ! We can definitely speak to Mr Sanas and find out the details . While poona has loads of venues to stay overnight if we want and enjoy the day. We can schedule it in good weather and how does Jan sound for a Bombay Poona Drive or even feb ?

Cheers

Yes I am in for such a drive, how about staying at the Poona Club, turf Club or Boat Club? Turf club would be nice as it has the atmosphere. regards

Re: The Classic Drive Thread. (Mumbai)

Hi Ragtop, how come your name does not figure this time in the M war list?? Kasli, start accepting names for the Poona drive. January is perfect. All the clubs suggested are ok. And we could also have a technical session, with Behram? That would be of interest to all. On the way in, maybe a halt at the mercedes plant?

Did you not have your own drive in a blue Beetle last Sunday, near Flora Fountain. That was a very nice Bug, which is why I hardly got a glance of the occupants, but somehow felt that you could have been sitting in it.

Cheers harit

Re: The Classic Drive Thread. (Mumbai)

Hi Ragtop, you took Gautam Singhania's new beetle for a TEST DRIVE? What were you testing? Or am I mistaken and it was some other beetle?
