What :: Vintage Car Rally
When :: 18-Apr-2009 ( Supposedly )
Why :: Passion and love for the Classics
How :: Spotted the show accidentally

Got a chance to finish my shift and accompany my friend to Food World. On the way back took the wrong turn ( or should i say the right one

) that was supposed to be taking us right back to office. But it turned out to be a glorious outing as I got to witness and feel the luxury of the Classics in the 21st century. Never have I appreciated the beauty and the quality of the Jag when my eyes preyed upon the Jaguar Sovereign..I have very little knowledge about classics so haven't been able to name all of them.

What a car show it was. Took about 300 pics.. Will put hem up soon. The best of the lot was the Pontiac Silver Streak. Will upload the snaps soon after sorting out.

If I recollect, the Jag was an ex UB car. It disappeared in 2004. Looks like it has been resprayed to a more bronze like colour

You mean FCB?! No we did not as its KVCCC commercial event.

Mr Siraj's impeccably restored Pontiac Silver Streak. Enjoy it folks. It was a treat and was my fav of the lot.

For years vintage cars were a passion for a few and most often people with limited resources. Its now evident that a new breed of well heeled enthusiasts have emerged in India who not only are deeply passionate about the hobby but are setting new standards in restoration.

Truly mindblowing and something for all of us to learn from. Hats off guys to a fabulous turnout of such beautifully restored cars.

I have zero knowledge about Pontiacs and can't comment about originality but the attention to detail and qualilty of workmanship in fit and finish lavished on this car is amazing. Congrats to the owner.

The restorer Mr. Siraj is undoubtedly one of the best restorers in Bangalore and would be worth the extra money considering the outcome of the cars with respect to fit and finish

I understand that this car has been sold to a collector and will be leaving Bangalore soon. Sad, but I am sure that this car, which ever city it goes will find new admirers.
