Hi,
Vintage Car & Motorcycle Club of Lucknow organsied the Annual SBI Vintage Car Rally at Lucknow on Sunday, 16th December'2012. Around 60 vehicles including M/Cycles participated in the event. The events were flagged off by the CGM SBI Mr Kajal Ghose and concluded at the Local Head Office after a route of around 14 Kms across the city. I am attaching some photos of the event.

The turnout was very good, it seems. Thanks for sharing the pics of rally Sandeep ji. If i am not wrong thats a 1964 1/2 Mustang which was recently restored. Also what vintage car is that in the third last pic, an Austin converted into Woody ?

The Mustang is a 1967 - 200, belonging to Mr.Raghavendra Singh. Yes it was restored about an year back.

Brought back many lovely memories.That Merryweather fire engine in Lucknow I have seen since I was a child. It used to run way back then.
Unfortunately, not much of these traditions or cars left now.

The Merryweather is still working & Lucknow still retains it old ways.

Looking at the pictures, which is this car? I know the marque, can we see a clear picture, history etc? It does not look like Vintagemans car, that probably was not ready at that time.

I see the zoom did not work that's a Packard 1939 - 110 ex Bengal and Nagpur

Hello Kasli ,

The Lucknow photograph of the Packard is from the INTACH event. I did not know that the photographs were available on the net.

Will post the photographs in the UP Cars .. thread.

The Packard is owned by Mr. Sandeep Narain and you are right it reached Lucknow via Nagpur.
