Hi Folks

The 2010 Vintage car rally in Ooty is stated to be held on the 21st of May 2010. Please do mark your calenders!

Usually the rally will be flagged off at around 9am from the Fernhill palace behind the lake and the rally will proceed through the commercial road to the Breeks ground near the Botanical garden, wherein the vehicles will be kept in display till evening.

As far as this year, I have no other confirmation apart from the date. So please do stay tuned for further updates.

The organizers have also confirmed to conduct the blue mountain TSD rally on May22. More details awaited.

Folks, there is change in dates for the above. The news dates are:

May 24 - Vintage car show
May 25 - TSD Rally

It will always be held in weekends, initially, even this year it was planned on 21,22 as said in my previous posts but due to various reasons it was re-scheduled.

Hi All

Reached Ooty this afternoon with 7 of our vehicles. No hiccups en-route, just stopped on few occasions to top-up water.

Some pictures taken on the way... The last picture taken in Ooty, its a Eligant FIAT and Vaxhaull. The owners had driven from Chennai - Kodaikanal - Ooty.

HI manishalive, yes they have modified the grille to accommodate the Toyota diesel engine and an AC.

Hi Pavan, this is not the one restored by you. It is another one which we have. It is a RHD Diesel. The one which you restored did not make it to Ooty this time as its held up in the garage.

Will upload some of the pictures that I have with me, and once I receive copies from the official photographer of the event, will share it with you all.

Sad to hear about diesel bit. On the other note it would be nice to hear about the conversion. What gearbox have they used? I also heard one such conversion done is Indore (M.P.) too.

The one that i restored and H14 has is an original LHD with the Go-Devil engine, i believe thats already won many trophies

Would have loved to see that one in action. Anything seriously wrong with that jeep H14?

I meant diesel engine of the Yellow Fiat, as for Jeep done by you, we already know of your credentials .
