Not quite correct. Starline Motors were Premier dealers, they sold all types of Premier cars, and built the Safari range of station wagons. They gave these keychains with every car delivered from their showrooms.

Yes, these keys are to a 1973 Premier President sedan, not wagon.

Why do you feel that you are stupid? Does it mean that every time you learn of some new trivia you become more stupid? Nyet, we are all learning when we are on such forums and do not feel Shockked:.

Starline Motors belongs to the Chopra family, there are two brothers and the younger one used to race/rally. Their showroom was in Tardeo, their body building shop in Bhandup. Belgaum location was started much later, and eventually they shut shop in Mumbai and shifted to Belgaum. The present owner is my neightbour and a dear friend.

Here is some memorabilia from Mercedes Benz.
The tie- clip was bought by me at the Sindelfingen plant near Stuttgart during a visit in 2001.They have a memorabilia shop at the RECEPTION which sells merchandise related to Mercs.
The letter from the company and the brochure was received by me in 1986 as a reply to my letter with some car designs.

Hey that's great, at some point in my life, did a lot of doodling and wanted to have that as my career. How about putting your designs for our viewing pleasure.

Re: Vintage Related Memorabilia

Memorabilia collected recently in Germany. To commemorate their 125 years of existance (as Daimler and as Benz), Daimler Benz is giving gift vouchers worth Euro 1125/- in Germany. Maybe to selected customers. Since the person who had this is not buying another Benz, I got this for my collection. There are terms and condition on the backside.

Re: Vintage Related Memorabilia

Now for India too Mercedes Benz have a special offer in the form of a 3 year free maintainance and servicing package. This is exclusive for existing customers, but they do not say if this applies for existing car or you have to buy a new one. What happens to those who bought a new Merc in January 2011? Here is a coupon they have sent.

Re: Vintage Related Memorabilia

Here are two pictures of a notice reminding for subscription for the Automobile Association of South India.
Hope this is interesting. Apparently the card was not filled in and returned, that side is fresh.
And note the postmark, talking about wide motorists.
Does this club still exist and where, as I have not heard much about its activities. Maybe their activities are not seen beyond the south.

Cheers harit

AA/SI very much exists as per my knowledge, as do all the AAs in India.
Its the Southern branch of AA, just as you have AA/WI in MH (if I'm not wrong?)
