Recently this cute little pedal car came up for sale and I grabbed the opportunity, had been looking for one for a long time.

It certainly looks period and is largely intact except for certain minor issues , steering wheel is missing and can be found or easily fabricated, the pedal mechanism is all there, seat frame will have to be fabricated.

I don't know the make , hopefully someone here can shed some light.
The car weighs around 9 Kgs, and looks pretty like this, cant make up my mind right now, whether to restore it or keep it like this.

Looks like it is modelled on the Rytecraft Scootacar / Special

Though a bit late still, nice find, IMO this weathered look suits the (pedal) car.

I too got lucky as recently something interesting came my way and I bought it, it seems like a locally assembled car, actually its a JEEP

Will post pics by weekend.

I am now thinking of restoring the pedal car, don't think it will last very long if I don't restore. Look forward to your pictures !

Meanwhile here is a J40, soon to be restored in Jaipur.

Looking forward to the restoration, best of luck. BTW just out of curiosity, from where can those type of tyres be sourced ?

Anyway, here are some pics of the pedal car.

PS: Kindly ignore the messy background of store room.

From a coffee table book on Vijay Mallya, here he is aged 4 years, sitting in a Ferrari pedal car purchased by his father from Italy. His father was noted to be very strict, but obviously had great taste.

The Nawanagar Lanchester "electric" pedal car, 1938.

This is different from the famous Nawanagar Rytecraft we have seen before:
