The 50 Best Post War Classics Located in India

Taking from Harit creating a thread on the ‘Top 10 Collectible Cars Located in India’, the cars mentioned are from the pre war era. So, I thought why not create a thread which talks of the Best Post War Classics in India. Don’t know if 50 is too large or small a number.

Cars I can think of, that have potential in making the list are: (not in order of preference)

1.The Bhogilal Chrysler Town & Country
2.The Chudasama Lincoln Continental.
3.Gondal’s 300 SL
4.Gondal XK’s and everybody elses.
5.Harit’s Dodge Royal
6.D.Titus's 1952 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible
7.Asher's Westland Healey
And many many more...

A topic of discussion which i was thinking of starting for a long time. I think we would have many contenders for this segment.

I think these two cars should definitely be in the top 10 ,Lancia Flaminia Sports Zagato and Alfa Romeo Duetto .

I know what the Lancia looks like. I was wanting to see the pics of the exact car.
Are you refering to the same Alfa Romeo that has been discussed in the Top Ten collectible cars in India thread, which has a missing engine , had rolled off a truck an got body damages and is in Bangalore?
If it is the same car then both are owned by the same person.

Top Classics in India

A list I can think of and that can be debated about for sure:

1) 300 SL - Gondal
2) Lancia flamina - R. Khan
3) Cadillac 1952 Coupe ? Mr D.Titus does not have a Series 62 convertible
4) 1947 Lincoln V12 convertible
5) Aston Martin - J.Ruparel
6) XK 150 - Gondal
7) Lincoln 1972 Cartier designed car - P Bhogilal
8) Mercedes 300 SC - P Bhogilal

Will keep adding to this ....blanked out suddenly

cheers

Add the Chennai Alfa Romeo Zagato, the Delhi alloy bodied XK 120, the ONLY Chrysler 300C coupe in Hyderabad (with HEMI power). MaybeRashid Bahai's Aston Martim DB 3/4 could also go on the list.

Indrojit's Golden Hawk also qualifies as would any Buick Gran Sports or similar US muscle car

Dr. Rossi's Ferrari 275 GTB / C would have topped teh charts had it still been here. The other early Ferraris like the ex Dubash, V12 Coupe car should also be here

will add more names later as they come to mind.

Yes, I thought as much. I thought your post was saying that it was no longer here.

I was in India recently assisting a friend with a car of his when I came across someone who had seen it recently.
