That is some gathering of classics. Is this an annual event? looks like a private affair though. I believe the JL1 is from the royal garage of Jhalawar. Do confirm if possible.

You know every time I drive by that Udaipur - Himmatnagar stretch I am tempted to turn in towards Dungarpur, especially around September when the rolling hills are all covered in mesmerizing shades of green but then it never happens. After viewing these photos I believe I have to make that turn sooner than later. BTW Sir Alec is the Udai Bilas open to public for viewing or better yet as a hotel?

What a collection of cars. I only wish we has photo's of each car individually. This surely looks like an private tour. Does not seem that all cars are from India. Seems to the more like RR Owners from abroad touring Rajasthan. See the registration number of some of the cars and the baggage and canvas covering showing that these cars are going for a long drive.

what a setting and what cars ... I think this was a very private affair. Wish I had known would have surely gone just to have a look. Did they come to Bombay ?

Obviously a private affair, I can see cars with English and Swiss registrations. I think one of the Ghosts is ex Patiala.

I can only see 2 Indian cars, the black RSY 1 of Udaipur (immortalised in the Bond flick 'Octopusssy') and the recently restored Jodhpur car.

wow, what a breath taking setting for a display of amazing motors. lucky bunch of people there to be able to enjoy such fine automobiles. i'd also like the know the story behind these.

the Royal lady's father owns this palace in Dungarpur, we even have a relative of her in the forum, he is an ardent 4x4er . I have very little details about this event. Except the fact the lady knows i am a petrol head and send the images through email the very first day.

When she comes back will ask and post the details.

An interesting book was released on this rally with some insights and a fantastic pictures on the entire event. Sadly just read thru it but could not get hold of it. The cover looks like this and the other Pic is of the route taken.
