Wow nice cars ....please try to post pictures of the other cars as well.

Mr. Vakil owns a superb Ford Model A Roadster that originally belonged to my grand uncle...its ADL regestered, would lov to see current pictures of it.

Also please post pics of that WW2 Jeep

Sorry! Those are all the pics I had. Its an amazing collection. 3 warehouses full of immaculately restored beauties on the outskirts of Pune. Its like a dream come true for any vintage car buff to see that collection.

On a lighter note, finding a Buick convertible outside this collection any where else in the country would be very rare.

Karl had posted some pictures of the Ford a while back too

Check post #162, picture # 2. Its a side profile. Number not visible. A page down in the thread and Karl thinks it could be Mr. Vakils.

Guys,The Vakeel buicks are great, but why ignore Rasool in amchi navi mumbai?His buicks amongst other beauties are mind blowing, but being an extremely modest and low profile chap should not make enthuisasts forget him

Since this thread has been inactive in a while, thought I'd chip in. I traveled to New Delhi on the 1st. week of February this year to attend a friend's wedding and this Buick (don't know the the model but it said "8" on one side of the front grill so must be a straight eight and was a huge 4 door convertible from the mid-late 30's) was the car for the Baarat. It's owned by a friend of my friend's who got married. Sorry for the poor shot, too much dancing,revelry and a mobile camera

this is ex bikaner, 1938 i think, converted from saloon to tourer in the palace garages, and changed from left to right hand drive.

I think this is the same car at an earlier Delhi event.

Yup, it sure is. The "Bawa" on the no. plate is something I remember clearly. My friend who got married, its his friend's car and his sir name is Bawa.
