1948. Indian Assembled. Emerald Green on black. Last owned by a collector in Calcutta.

I think its owned by Shri Sanjay & Rajiv Ghosh, Rajiv is also on the forum, though not active.

Also used by the President of India (not sure which one)

Saw this Buick Super Eight convertible in the WIAA building near Churchgate today.

The below Buick is in Himmatnagar Palace, Himmatnagar. Blame the poor picture quality on poor lighting, evening time and a mobile phone. I think this car is also covered elsewhere on this forum, but not on this thread.

Saw this Buick (Eight or Super Eight) in South Mumbai. Searched the forum but didnt come across this particular one.

Edit: Just did a Google search and found that this is a Buick Super Riviera sedan.

A 1934 Buick Series 50 Sedan, originally a Nagpur car with it's dark brown factory shade and full trims was sold to a second owner in the 1980's. It was repainted and some spares incl. the front bumper went missing. After a short stint with this owner, the car went to Delhi. Not sure about it's present location. The registration number was BYJ 2901. I have a picture of this car in it's original avatar which I will also post soon.

This is a 1929 Photo of Buick Cars in Madras. It was seen grouped at a parking lot of a function. The date “NOV 12 29″ is visible on the back, possibly a news photo. And captioned at the bottom of the photo is ” A remarkable demonstration of Buick’s popularity in Madras (now Chennai). Eighty Buick cars"

I found a very similar '79 Buick LeSabre here in Bangalore a couple of months ago. Same registration series as well. Could this also have been a part of this presidential fleet?

Does anyone else have the full history of these cars here?
