Thanks Indro for the pictures but I wish you had batched them and given more details like the coverage on the 1st Cartier event.

I am sure DKG would have been there. I am waiting for his detail post.

Cheers

Hi KPS,

Yes i know that this is a Commander and has a V8 engine. The Cars didn't have a car numbers like they had last time. They were only divided into categories this time.

Yes DKG was there and so were Karl, Awini, Allan (Xtreme Power), Kasli, Bulldogji. I am also sure that Harit Uncle was there but didn't get a chance to meet him.

DKG....where are your pictures.

Indrojit what camera were you using anyway !
I know wasif but since you and many others were getting impatient i uploaded them for your view. If you like i can request the mods to delete them.
I was using a sony 10 Mega Pixel camera and the camera was on auto adjustment mode. Most of the others had SLR camera's so there will definitely be a huge difference in the quality of the pics.

What is the background on the silver RR UP A 2797 ex Kashmir. The body looks like it was made to transport prisoners or the likes.

Also waiting for some better pictures and an in depth report

What an awesome event. Thanks for the pictures guys. Made my day.

And I could have really loved to see the Nizam's car in its original state as it was found. The grounds up restoration seems to have robbed it of its charm. I looked at it twice before realizing its the the one.

Hi , The crest and flag belong to the Maharaja of Dumraon in Bihar, the Maharaja was the first owner , its a 9th Series Lambda of which only 500 were ever made.

Wasif, this "car" is R-R Phantom I, Chassis 51-RC, a hunting "saloon" by Windovers. Original owner is Maharaja Bharatpur (could have gone to Kashmir at some point)

Re: Cartier "Travel with Style" Concourse d' Elegance 2011

still waiting for nice hi res pictures and a detailed report.

That boat tailed RR UPR 491 has a rather funny look to the boat tail part, is the an original boat tailor has it been customised in India ?

Also the entry list has an Auburn 19 26 6 66 listed , was this car there as there are no pictures of it here.

The turn out at this event is a bit of a disapointment. There are so many other great cars that could have made it hut are not to be seen.

For example the Dr Mallya cars like the Graham, the SS 2.5 Sedan to name a few

Also in the preservation class I am sure they could have found many more cars.

I have many nice pictures, I shall put them up over the weekend.

UPR 491 bears a local body, I think French Motor Car Company.

A couple of cars entered did not show, like the Auburn, Ford Starliner, Amby Traveller.

The Graham is not a Mallya car. Of course many more were worthy, but I suppose we must keep some for the next event, what say?
