Hi Mudit,

Thank you so much for this fantastic coverage of this rally. Most of the cars seems to be in much better shape than even the cars seen in the Calcutta and Delhi rallys.

Its surprising that there don't seem to be any of the Jaguar Mark IV or Mark V's. Any more pics of the Blue Chevrolet with the WB number, the Jag XK 120 and the white Rolls royce with the UP 32 Reg?

Thank you once again.

Great cars and great pictures.

I was wondering if that rear engined Auto Union racer is the real thing or a replica ?

The maroon/black Dodge Brothers sedan looks cool is it a six or a straight eight ?

Also the windscreen on that large green Cadillac RJL 3349 looks funny ....was this a sedan converted to soft top ?

Nice to see the Jaipur classics again! It amazes me as to how many classics still survive there- pity I never got to see anything interesting when I lived in Rajasthan back in the 80s in my childhood! :(

All the more interesting to find a Standard 8 (RJZ 638) in that part of the country! They are supposed to be really rare cars!

This car is a 1931 Studebaker Model 54. The Mascot seems to be wrong on it though other wise the car seems to be very Original.

very nice car, restoration is a bit naughty in some areas this was the base model, basically a rebadged Erskine, it originally came without a mascot, and had round headlamps, instead of the quaint oval lamps that came on the rest of the 1931 range

Dear Mudit,

I must congratulate you for sharing these wonderful pics of awesome beauties.

But one thing which I want to bring to the notice is the Blue Mercedes Heckflosse RJ 14 C 3717 sporting a 240D badge, as far as with my limited knowledge the Heckflosse were introduced in
1959:- 220, 220S and 220SE
1961:- 190 and 190D
1961:- 300SE
1963:- 300SE LWB
1965:- 200, 200D, 230 & 230S

So I request fellow bhp-ians to please share their views with regard to the above mentioned car.

Keep up the good work MUdit

Regards

Muzzammil

There are a lot of classics and vintage cars in Jaipur right now. Some of them are brought from other states.

I have googled Mercedes Heckflosse 240D but ended up with nothing.

I will call the guy who was driving it. He will figure it out. Owner of that Mercedes Heckflosse are the owners of Hotel Ram Bagh Palace, Jaipur.

Thanks and Regards

240D first appeared as a W123, W115 before that was a 220D.
Wrong monogram has been put. Is this a diesel car? In that case the engine is also wrong.

Cheers harit
