Re: Transit damage vehicle at low price?

For cars with airbags and a crash protection structure that has been built and tested and rated to some standard, this type of buying is a little risky right? The crash, if serious may have damaged the airbags and the frame structure. Make sure you know what you are getting into very clearly. I would not just be happy with before and after photos, I may want someone certified to ascertain the safety of the car to look at it - if there was major structural damage.

--- 2012 model with '0' kms is another thing to look at and what is it doing moving around India on trucks?

It could be old stock at the dealers end or factory that hasn't moved out.

Something doesn't seem to be clear.

Re: Transit damage vehicle at low price?

What is the discount?

The best thing about new cars is the body line, and the factory finish paint job. I for one wouldn't compromise on these for a discount. Beats the whole point of buying new. But then, assuming the damages are just cosmetic, and your primary usage is logging kilometers for the next 4-5 years, a good discount would make sense.

However, keep in mind, you wouldn't get the 'new car' experience. So, a slightly used one for a similar discount would make more sense.
