What about the safety aspect of Kiger? There seems to be some assurance on the Magnite as the Indian made Magnite scored 4 stars on ASEAN NCAP. Would the Kiger fare the same as it is on the same platform. Kiger does have 4 airbags though.

Voted for Magnite.

1. Looks better than the Kwid'ish Kiger.
2. Better feature distribution from the base model onwards.
3. Tested for ASEAN NCAP and got a healthy 4-star rating.

I was about to buy Kiger for my father. But Kiger has some ergonomic issues, especially near arm rest area.It is all cramped. No space even for putting the seat belts with ease. Also, turbo petrol on these cars lack refinement. So we bought New i20 diesel.

Voted for Kiger as it has a slight advantage in the looks department (in my eyes). Looks more matured and it's sleeker.

Magnite looks great too but the huge Datsun-like grill is not my favorite, add to this the additional chrome on Nissan. Even when it comes to the interior the Kiger feels well put together in a better manner compared to the Magnite.

Yes, the Magnite has its advantages in its safety list and crash test rating, but I have a strong feeling that the Kiger will come with the same result on a crash test. Add to this the extra 2 airbags.

Another ++ for the Renault A.S.S

Renault Kiger.

1. Better looking of the two.
2. More Renault cars on the road. Gives assurance of its long term presence in my city.
3. Beautiful interiors.

Voted for Magnite, the Kiger is too Kwid'ish from the front for my liking, exterior design of the Magnite is also soothing to the eyes (personal preference), I also somehow like the interiors of Magnite (this observation is based on visual appeal as haven't yet got a touch and feel of both). Somehow in the crowd when you place both the cars, Magnite stands out while Kiger blends with the many Kwids. That blue and white dual tone Magnite is a killer looker.

Voted for Kiger, booked one last month and awaiting delivery

Additional safety features are more in Magnite like ESP on most variants and select features like hill hold, Hydraulic brake boost etc are available on the more expensive cvt variant only. But, the dealership future, number of service centers are limited.

Compared to this, Kiger looks better, has 2 additional airbags, gets a very practical interior storage spaces with 2 glove boxes, keyless entry with access card etc. The most important differentiation factor is the AMT availability, which seals the deal for a sub 10 lac compact SUV (OTR Bangalore) for people looking to upgrade from a hatch.

Voted for Magnite primarily due to point 3
plus
4. Has 360 View Camera, Hill Hold

Voted for the Magnite - it has loads more street presence than the Kiger. Looks like car from a class or two above while the Kiger just looks like a slightly overgrown Kwid.

Voted for Kiger.
Agree that both are good looking cars, but Kiger looks more sorted. Also Renault has more brand value and better ASS in India compared to Nissan.

I voted for the Kiger! But, it is a close match actually for me. The Magnite looks better on the outside and the Kiger looks premium on the inside. For me, the Kiger interiors are more, should I say, German(?) than the Magnite which has utilitarian interiors which are already looking old. Just my personal opinion.

The Kiger looks more futuristic and probably will hold its design well against new age designs of EV-Hybrid vehicles in the future.

Tough choice.
Boils down to
1. Service and sales in the vicinity
2. Availability (still an issue)
3. Powertrain and variant for selection

Voted Kiger because I "read" that it has a more sorted ride quality.

Funny thing that the Kiger has better looking interiors than Duster! clap:

Kiger looks like a Kwid on steroids. Comparatively Magnite has the stance of a pseudoSUV.
Renault’s AMT is not a thing worth gloating, hence Magnite isn’t missing something which Kiger has. Only downside is the interior of Magnite, especially that dashboard and those hexagonal vents. These made me feel claustrophobic.

My choice is a Magnite with Kiger’s interiors. :Cheering:

I haven't voted for either because both these cars don't have a diesel engine. With petrol prices touching the mid 90's and single digit city fuel economy it's going to be more expensive to run a petrol car. Agreed diesel prices are not that far behind but diesel offers almost double the tank range compared to a petrol.

If I had to pick, I'd pick the kiger for its, safety (I hope they give ESP soon) wider dealership network and all black interiors. The costs have increased so much that b segment cars cost as much as c segment cars used to cost:Frustrati
