Redoing the Prado was a good Idea. Rs. 3L seems exhorbidant, and an independent service centre would have been even better. RoadWorX have a chain of centre including in multiple places in Mumbai, have seen their advts in Bombay Times - Times Drive on fridays.

Since the Prado stays.

The Luxary Sedan options.

Pref 1) Superb - Superb Car, despite the Skoda Service issues a good choise. go for JMD service in Mumbai is you do go for this car. Better space and interiors than the E-Class, and Accord.

Pref 2) Accord - go for 2.4 Lts only - V6 is absorbidantly priced. Better build than the earlier Accord and more spacious than the E-Class.

Pref 3) Sonata Xform - Bad idea due to resale value though it is a decent car.

Pref 4) Corolla - Laura 1.8 TFSI is a better deal than the Corolla and more enjoyable to drive, Avoide the Corolla - though it does give more peace of mind.

Regarding Airbags not deploying - Get a lawyer to call up Honda India. Your Accord may get repaired for cheap.

Strange that the passenger airbag deployed but driver airbag didn't.
Check with honda india. Honda has recently recalled cars in US for airbag issues. don't know if the recall applies to india as well.

I would suggest try an extended drive in Sonata, the value proposition is excellent. But end of the day its your money and image.

You should start a new thread and give more details of air bag failure. This is most serious problem and if it is clear that it is Honda's failure then you should not settle for value offered.

A technical failure of high value brand is not acceptable.
