yes it is still sold, but very pricey for a hatch. I think it touches 8L ceiling. Between 5 - 8 my pic would be an Aveo 1.6 / Verna CRDi.

Honda Jazz is pretty much sold. I TDed it last friday and am amazed with the ride. The acceleration, seating position, ergonomically placed controls; its all fabulous. But when it comes to price, it put me off. I was given the quote of 799,000 OTR. The package - Active or Mode would cost extra. Fuel efficiency - 10.5 KMPL, thats what the reading was showing on the console. One more reason for me to stay away.

One more update : I had put a query for TD of 1.4 SXi Fiesta on Ford site today morning and got a call back from Ford Chennai that they can arrange a TD whenever I want. That was a quick turnaround. They really read website contents. More on Fiesta TD next week.

I agree on that. Ford customer support (from Chennai) is very responsive. I got a call within the same day when I asked for a TD of the Fiesta 1.6 S. Good luck with your TD experience.

Slightly OT,but would the 1.6 S suit someone someone in his mid thirties?

Isn't this meant more for younger folks - maybe in their 20s or so?

What do you guys think?

It is a touch sporty in look and feel. But come on man, mid thirties is not old enough :-). Its a perfectly good machine for a mid-thirties guy likewise for young blood (read 20s folks). If you like the 1.6 S (or any car for that matter), it does not matter what your age is! TD it and see what your heart says. Strictly my opinion but others could have varied viewpoints on the subject.

FYI, I am on the wrong side of 30 myself (completed 30 in August this year) but I find the 1.6 S just perfect!

I'm in the same boat (in Pune too!) and I too am planning to first try to get a used Civic failing which I'll try a new Fiesta.

Decided!

Booked the Fiesta 1.6 S today. Delivery expected anytime between 20th to 25th October. Will start an ownership thread after I get my hands on the 'True Blue Performer' .

Brand New : Linea/Fiesta 1.6S

Used : Honda Civic/ Corolla

I believe you should go for the brand new rather than getting used to be on safer side

Hey, you are only as young as you think you are! So any car will be good, as long as you like it

yay! congrats man! what color are you going for! true blue performer hints at blue color

fiesta is awesome! it does not need anything! no mods. and the only sports version of the car which is actually different from the rest of the pack.( stiff sporty suspension, i think it was the guys at lotus in australia who tuned it) sx4, civic, corolla just have body kits thats it!! fake sporty commuting cars
