Congrats!!. In Hyderabad I am told the waiting period is a minimum 2 months for any color/variant. Good that you will be taking delivery in less than 2 weeks.

Congrats on your booking the shadow blue Vento. VW- Whitefield seems to be great in their approach to customers considering the other two dealers have ego issues!

Cheers!

Well volkman, in Hindi there is a very famous phrase: Ek hi thali ke chatte batte (loosely translates to they are all the same!)

From Facebook page of Volkswagen India about VW Whitefield from some irate customer:
"Worst ever sale experience with a VW dealer , Apple auto pvt ltd. I am feeling cheated as even after paying the complete price as agreed by both the parties , A price hike was done. The sales team was rude and unprofessional and doesnt agree to give me the car as promised !!! This ordeal went on for 2 months and I feel cheated and harrased."

With my experience of dealing with both, was my inference. For example, VW -Downtown refused to do the VAS upgrade free of cost( 500 INR per activation) and more so they did say to come after a few weeks as they are booked with service.
On the other had VW -Whitefield has done the VAS upgrade free of cost( saved INR 2500) and also was courteous on say to bring the vehicle any time convenient!

Cheers!

re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

Upgrading my dad's 2006 Swift ZXi at home to a new ZDi, which will give my Jet some company and will probably become my daily office commute vehicle as well

Make : Maruti Suzuki
Model : Swift
Variant : ZDi
Fuel : Diesel
Booking Date : 29th March 2012
OTR Price as on today : 8.16L
Color : Silky Silver / Torque Blue (either of the 2)
Expected Delivery Date : Around 10-11 months from now, ridiculous isn't it?
Dealer & City : Sagar Automobiles (Bannerghatta road), Bangalore
Freebies : Mud Flaps and foot mats
Accessories planned : ICE upgrade, DRLs, spoiler, headlamp upgrade, upgrade to 195/60R15 Michelin Primacy LCs. Lets see how much this list changes by the delivery date. Still a long way to go.

We already had a blue Swift at home all these days and dad wasn't for upgrading to Torque Blue since it is pretty much the same shade, but I don't find any other color in Swift to be as appealing as the T-Blue. The older ferrari red is gone and the new red shade is too dark to look sporty. We have had 2 white cars earlier and don't want white. My T-Jet is black so I don't want another black car at home (more maintenance). No glistening grey either, that is also darkish. Back to square one - Torque Blue or Silky silver . Some suggestions would help

For now, I have given color choice as either Silver OR Blue. The salesman stared at me like I was some idiot when I told him that. Hopefully I can convince dad and get the sporty blue again.
