I had last got a call from the Hyundai SA in the first week of January. Offers might have changed since.
I wasn't comfortable with placing my elbow on the door sill and so wasn't interested.

I was initially planning to go with grand i10, but the showroom experience spoiled it. Later i took test drive of Alto & celerio AMT. I was floored with AMT experience!! I asked my sales person if Optional variant is readily available. He checked and found one in transit Booked it immediately ! Overall experience at Maruti has been great!! This sales man has been actively following up for the past 1year and that too for an Alto!! East or west, Maruti is best because of such things!! Looking forward to the delivery!
Edit on Freebies: Side and bumper beadings, under body coating, steering grip, body cover and Rs 500 off on seat covers costing Rs.5500. Also visited the stockyard and verified my vehicle. Its a Dec 206 manufactured, thats why a lot of freebies.

P.S - Anyone planning to book Alto or Celerio with Optional variant, its readily available in Pratham Motors in ORR Bangalore. FYI

Re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

Very happy to write this. My search going back to april of 2016 for the first & most enjoyable car around 8L ended yesterday. Since it's 2am now and all that.

Make : Volkswagen
Model : Ameo
Variant : Trendline (black interiors are something I couldn't disregard)
Fuel : Diesel
Booking Date : 29-Jan-2017
Color : Toffee Brown (been addicted to brown these days...brown jackets, sweaters, caps and the whole lot for some reason)
Dealer & City : Volkswagen Delhi West

I don't know too many details as I wasn't able to meet Mr. Shoaib. Reached there at 6:58pm (2 minutes before closing) thanks to the traffic my uber was stuck in. Will update once I meet him tomorrow.

Is that it, Sir? It's a low selling model, didn't you try to get anything more from them?

They know my weakness for this car. Abarth powered is surely a low selling engine but has very dedicated cult following. So, dealer is adamant in providing any freebies for the same. Moreover, Fiat doesn't provide any discounts for this particular model. So, very hardly I managed to settle with those.

Cool. Just make sure you don't get a 2016 model.

PS- Is that palio up for grab?

It's indeed 2016 model. Fiat haven't started making new cars in 2017. They may start production from May or June, what I heard.

Regarding my Palio D, currently its on breakdown. I shall keep it and restore it to the possible good condition. I can tell you, no hatchback in India can convince you in terms handling and riding quality like a Palio. Truly awesome mean machine.

I booked the car on 19 jan and yet to get a test drive, I took a testdrive at chennai, where my cousin had took delivery of his Ignis. I loved the car but I just couldn't get comfortable in the driver's seat. I guess the Ignis was built with millenials in mind after all ( I am 42, 5'10" and 115Kg)

With a sad heart I cancelled my booking today.

Update to the earlier post.

On road was seven lakh eighty one thousand after opting for everything I possibly could including the extended warranty everyone told me to go with.

6,66,400 - Ex Showroom (had a chuckle when I saw 666.)
64,610 - Registration
32,694 - Zero Depreciation Insurance

20,000 - Discount

Final coming to seven lakh sixty one thousand seven hundred four rupees / 7,61,704 rupees. Mr. Shoaib quit like 2-3 days ago and I didn't know about it so going through that was quite interesting. I will do PDI tomorrow.

Model : Elite i20
Variant : Asta (O)
Fuel : Petrol (1.2 VTVT)
Booking Date : 26th February 2017
Colour : Pristine Blue
Expected Delivery Date : 9th March 2017
Dealer & City : Trident Hyundai, Bangalore
On-Road Price : 9,20,000/-
Freebies : Car cover, standard fitment (mud flaps, floor mats, phone charger, dashboard idol), teflon and under chassis coating
Others : Insurance sourced from outside, 50% offer on car cover if purchased with delivery
