Congratulations on the new ride!!

Had to go back to your earlier post to reconfirm the car you had booked. The image you shared made it look like some longer vehicle and not Jazz! May be because of the photo angle.

Drive safe,

Re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

Make : Suzuki
Model : Ignis
Variant : Zeta
Fuel : Petrol
Transmission : Manual
Booking Date : 8-Sep-18
Color : Arctic Pearl White
Expected Delivery Date : Before 23rd September
Dealer & City : Nexa Rana Motors, Kailash Colony, New Delhi

Effective OTR: INR 6.1L
Discounts:
Consumer - INR 30,000
Corporate- INR 3100
Additional pre-festival - INR 10,000 if delivery is taken before 23rd Sept

I got a mail yesterday, that the car has been allotted. On enquiring the VIN found the car to be May manufactured, when I was specifically told that I will get an Aug or Sept manufactured vehicle since they didnot have one in stock. I have refused to take this car, because it is clear that they misinformed, to get the booking amount, dangling the 23rd September date mentioned above and that it would take 2 weeks for the car to come after placing order. Let's see how it pans out.

Over the last week, RM was informing that Nexa Blue CVT is not available from factory but finally without much noise from my end, RM informed late yesterday that Nexa Blue Delta CVT has been dispatched from factory.
Also shared the VIN: 10th,11th chars are JJ - Sept 2018.
Will update once I have done the PDI before sending for registration.

Congratulations! I would suggest going in for the extended warranty for the sake of the transmission. Costs hardly anything compared to the cost of a new AMT module.

Re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

Recently we were faced with a rare incidence, our delivery vans could not park in towns and some courier partners are located in narrow lanes. No other option but to get a small van to haul light weight consignments. Wanted a safe car but driver insisted on Omni. Seemed economical too !
So I booked an Omni in this age!

Make : Maruti Suzuki
Model : OMNI
Variant :8 SEATER
Fuel : Petrol
Booking Date : 28th SEPTEMBER
Expected Delivery Date : 1st October
Dealer & City : AVG Motors Thiruvalla

Cost OTR: INR 3.4L
Discounts
Consumer - INR 20,000
Additional dealer discount - INR 3000
Final cost: 3.17L

Vehicle was already in the yard and did PDI right after booking. Chose Blue Pearl colour because 8 seaters were all in that shade. Full payment transferred and vehicle billed. Opted for Insurance from Maruti. Only RTO formalities left.

...
In this case do you register the Omni as a yellow board vehicle ? Also isn't a cargo version of the Omni also available where the rear windows are blocked out and without the seats, which would be suitable for your intended use ?

We were informed that Omni Cargo is not available and they were reluctant to take bookings at the time because they couldn't commit to a delivery date. Not sure how reliable my SA is but he did raise an inquiry to the seniors but they were unable to give a surety on delivery. And SA did confide that there were rumours of cargo version being discontinued. So we bought 8 seater and registered it as private since it's running only short distances (radius of 3 kms).
