Congratulations RavenAvi! Hoping to see the very first 2020 Hyundai Creta ownership thread on Team-BHP very soon.
Unfortunately, what Mahindra said about Chakan being closed was absolutely true with the factory having been shut down due to the strict lockdown here. Pity they didn't have a XUV5OO for you.

Re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

Make : TATA
Model : NEXON
Variant : XZ+(O)
Fuel : PETROL
Booking Date : 28th June 2020
Color :Foilage Green
Expected Delivery Date :19th July 2020
Dealer & City : Keshva Motors, Mulund Mumbai
Freebies : Mats and Mud Flaps
Others : None

The dealership is not sure about the delivery date, at the time of booking I asked for 15th July and they said "It will be delivered".
Now they are saying delivery will be by end of July as Foilage Green color is in demand and no ready stock is available at Tata Motors Plant. I don't know whom to reach for details and confirm delivery date. This car is a surprise for my parents. Let me know if anyone has any leads to get some details on exact delivery date.

Mods: This is my first post on the forum, apologies for any mistakes.

Cheers!

You can try and contact fellow member @ram87pune who might be able to guide you on this. Have you checked with the other dealerships in the city on whether they can get you this vehicle earlier?

Involving Tata customer care on twitter might work too. Corporate these days love to be part of their customers special occasions (makes for great PR).

Re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

Make : Hyundai
Model : Grand I10 Nios Petrol
Variant : Asta AMT
Fuel : Petrol
Booking Date : May 1st
Color : Fiery RED
Expected Delivery Date : 30th July
Dealer & City : Pavan Hyundai, Bannerghatta Bangalore.
Freebies : Mud Flaps and Mats provide by company
Others : Agreed to remove handling charges after I informed them that I am a TeamBhp Member. Total discount from Hyundai is 25k on Ex Showroom price. Car will be purchased under Company car lease scheme

None of the Hyundai dealers were having latest manufactured cars and all the stock of Grand I10 Nios were from February and March. I refused to take any old vehicle which would be lying in their stockyards for so long. I insisted on a latest manufactured car.

The delivery delay has mostly been caused by lockdowns in Bangalore and Chennai. However I have received a call today confirming that a New July Manufactured car is billed to them and I can do PDI on Saturday.
I will do a Ownership review soon in August.

Re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

Started out to buy an used AT for wife, after wading through used car market for 2 months, felt i'd be better off buying a new AT. Started again with Kwid AMT, and then to Redigo AMT and then to Celerio AMT and then to Santro AMT and Finally booked Ignis AMT :|
What it means is started out with a 3L budget and ended up spending 2.2x times the said budget!

Make : Maruti Suzuki Nexa
Model : Ignis
Variant : Zeta AGS
Fuel : Petrol
Booking Date : Aug 10
Color : Nexa Blue
Expected Delivery Date : 26th Aug
Dealer & City : Popular Nexa, Chennai.
Freebies : Nothing
Discount: 16k (10k Consumer offer for Zeta; 3k Corp Disc and Another 3k Special Disc)
Didn't take Extended Warranty (so that is less another 11k)

This is the updated Zeta version with Smartplay Touch Audio. This will be our first Automatic car (if you accept AMT as one)

Booking Date: 12/03/2020
Color: Mulberry Red
Delivery date: Unknown. No clue whatsoever.
Accessiories: Mats (maybe).
Price: 20 L appx (OTR)
Booking Amount: Rs 25,000/-
Booking Mode: offline
Dealership: Karma Hyundai, Noida

Saw some vloggers putting up their walk around videos of the Creta this week and I just do not like the wheels on the Turbo variant. Making me think once more.
Look at something else maybe.
So the lock down and work from home resulted in a change of heart and mind. Cancelled the booking during the early April. Waited for the TROC to hit the showrooms. Everything was great other than the rear bench space. Then went back and took a test drive of the Compass after more than 2 years. Like it once again. Booked it.

Make: Jeep
Model: Compass
Variant: Limited Plus 4x2
Fuel: Diesel 2.0 D
Booking Date: July 2020
Color: Exotica Red. This comes with the dual tone roof.
Delivery date: More or less ready. Might pick it up this week.
Accessiories: Mats + Mud flaps.
Price: 24.7 L appx
Booking Amount: Rs 10,000/-
Booking Mode: offline
Dealership: Landmark Jeep, Delhi

Re: The "I Booked my Car" Thread

Make: Maruti Suzuki
Model: Ignis
Variant: Delta AMT
Fuel: Petrol
Booking Date: 18 Aug 2020
Color: Grey
City: Delhi
Freebies: Mud Flaps, Floor Mats (part of the basic kit, but we asked them to exclude the kit)
Others: None

Dad wanted to replace his Jan 2011 Santro with a new car and was wanting to go for an automatic. Since we would be installing CNG in the car, we thought the Ignis will be the best bet. Never thought we would be buying anything from the Maruti's line-up but I guess it fits the bill perfectly. Will be taking the delivery next week most probably.

Yes, i hate Maruti for whatever it is, but unfortunately, it seems to a better bet among hatches less than 8-9 L.

i felt the Grand i10 NIOS is an able competitor to the Ignis, but recent Hyundai horror story thread made me think twice.

Well, I also wanted to go with the Nios but dad wanted a small and powerful car with high seating. Coming from the Hyundai Santro, he did not like the seat height of the Nios and also did not appreciate the fact that it was almost four inches longer than the Ignis. He just wanted the smallest car with a powerful engine and an automatic gearbox. We also plan to get CNG installed in it and I guess it would then be a perfect car for his usage.
