Hi,

Glad that the review helped you. City is a great car, I regret having sold my 2009 City iVtec MT now. It was a keeper.

Do make sure to get the Hi5 service package which includes 5 years of regular maintenance and some additional spares. VW India site advertised it for all bookings made in December.

Regards
Kalyan

Yes Kalyan, they are offering 5 years SVP free of cost now for all current purchases. Didn't have to ask or bargain for it. After I saw the price you mentioned in your thread, didn't bargain hard (first quote was 34.5 and finalized for 33L) as I felt the price is fair. I did not know what some of those line items you mentioned in the insurance like return to invoice, consumables cover etc but asked for them anyway - and that costed 4k extra (they said 8k infact but absorbed 50%). Will read up about those options soon. Thanks again!

Make : Kia
Model : Seltos
Variant : HTX+ AT Diesel
Color : Glacier White Pearl
City: Bengaluru
OTR: 2048626/-

No discounts and a waiting period of 15-18 weeks is what the dealer mentioned.

Yes, what I meant is that it is being advertised complimentary. Since you are taking delivery in the first week of Jan, just wanted to make sure they don't get away with not offering the SVP claiming it's only for Dec customers.

I agree, the price is fair. You'll realize the car has a lot more to appreciate other than price, as you finish the first 1000 kms.

Return to Invoice - In an unfortunate case where a car is declared to be a total loss. Under normal circumstances, only the IDV is paid to the customer. Whereas, with RTI cover, full on road price including Road Tax is paid out.

Consumables - See this

Do take time and read the comprehensive insurance related thread we have on this forum. And feel free to ask questions there.

A new car after 16 years, and what an upgrade :Cheering:. Here's hoping this one also serves you equally well. Congrats!

Booked a new car with better height for my folks, it was a short and quick decision. Originally it was supposed to be latest i10 but I was able to stretch easily for a much better car overall.

KIA Sonet Diesel AT top end, 16 odd lacs, put down a lac, rest we'll see when the exact date comes for delivery, I want it before 31st March of course, until then no hurry.

Hello everyone,

Happy New year.

Dealer & City : KHT Motors, Bangalore
Price: Around 9,40,000 OTR (Insurance by HDFC @ 26k - special offer on corporate tie-up), 2 years extended warranty included, expecting a price hike.

I hope they deliver in 4 wks as the sales rep said XM has less demand, but not pinning any expectations on it.

Congrats on the booking. If this were any other manufacturer, I would have said that since you are taking delivery in March, you might want to try and bargain hard to eke out some great discounts. But this being Kia, that leverage is non-existent and therefore will refrain from imparting the unsolicited advice. :D Enjoy the anticipation during the wait period!

Thanks a lot! The car is very easy to drive and the headnod has now just not noticeable. Only when driving uphill when the car downshifts to the first gear will you notice it slightly. All the apprehensions about AMT vanished after driving it.

I was worried about AMT being not as good as proper AT but I'm glad I took the plunge. The only thing that needs an effort is to avoid rollback (which handbrake or left foot on brake does solve easily). Rest all is easy peasy.

Wishing a very Happy New Year!

The time had come to bid goodbye to two of our lovelies owing to the NGT rules in the Delhi NCR region. I must say that choosing a small hatch for short neighborhood runs proved to be whole lot tougher than expected; more so with Swift VDi being the outgoing car. So, after some researching and a couple of test drives later, here are the details of what would be arriving towards the beginning of February:

Manufacturer: Hyundai
Model: Grand i10 NIOS
Variant: Sportz
Fuel Type: Petrol
Booking Date: January 3, 2021
Color: Aqua Teal
Expected Delivery: February 2021
Dealership: Deep Hyundai, Peeragarhi, Delhi
On-Road Price: ~7,30,000

The booking experience has been pleasant till now and I hope it to remain consistent throughout the buying process.

Hello,

I decided to upgrade my ride from my 2010 Chevrolet Beat LT.

Make : Hyundai
Model : Creta
Variant : SX(O) Automatic
Fuel : Diesel
Booking Date : 24/12/2020
Color : Mulberry Red
Expected Delivery Date : No idea. Have been quoted a waiting period of 3 months.
Dealer & City : Kothari Hyundai, Pune
Freebies : None

I’m planning to keep my Beat as the beater car primarily due to the low resale value. Mechanically it’s in top notch condition and doesn’t justify the 60k that is offered as its value.
