I booked an ALTIS diesel on 3 March with expected date in 3rd week April. Heard about the facelifts and requested dealer to transfer the booking amount for the "to be launched" version. The dealer promptly took me off the queue and supposedly allotted the vehicle to another person! How I wish they were this efficient in other aspects.

Now that the launch has been delayed and Toyota production is cut by 70% I am in a fix. Any suggestions on what to do next? Does anybody know of any higher ups at the Millennium dealership I could approach?

Choosing the car was no brainer - the most toughest decision was which color to choose. At last, gave in to SWMBO and booked T-Wine, instead of Black.

2 days earlier, it was 12.47. For 4x4 variant there's a max hike, but 50K? That's huge! suddenly all the reasons why I chose Scorpio started diminishing. Perhaps Scorpio is still VFM, but for me it was "satisfaction for money", which kept reducing drastically. I'm all stretching myself till 12.5 L, not getting the color I liked, not getting the interiors I wanted and now I have to shell 50k more. Spending 13L and so many adjustments. So I chose to not to.

Thanks Experthand. Yes, I too got the 'Care Package' or 'Value Pack' as it is known otherwise + corporate discount of 9000/-

Was offered mudflaps too, but didn't opt for them as I do not like mudflaps on the Punto.

@SankalpDesai: i do agree that the mudflaps does not gel with the design of Punto, but during rains, the guys who will follow your car will really thank you for putting the flaps.

Need some help: the dealer said he will give 3M sun film, rain guards and will vinyl the floor for free - i accepted the first two, and said I do not need vinyl, but I will ask for some other freebie - But I am now out of options to ask. I do not want teflon coating or under body treatment they offer, and they said they cannot give number plates for free. i can ask for something around 1K worth - any pointers?
