There is a small waiting period. Wanted the car before April 1st as the road tax + VAT is increasing in Bangalore from April. Anyhow, I have cancelled the booking now due to some personal reasons.

Did you intend to mean 10th April or April'10 for Expected Delivery Date?
Anyways, congrats on your new car.

Thanks Rajiv. The expected delivery date will be sometime before the end of this month. Atleast, thats the promise made by the dealer.

Make :VW
Model : Polo
Variant : Trendline
Fuel : Petrol
Booking Date : 24 March 2010
Color : Red
Expected Delivery Date : End June
Dealer & City : Vidyut Motors, Pune
Freebies : Yet to discuss

Clarifications from the SP:
1. Insurance can be got from outside (non-dealer) but no cashless facility for claims in such a case
2. Car stereo needs to be fitted from the dealer only else electrical warranty will be void. Reason being only VW-specific couplers allowed for wiring. Only Kenwood brand available.
3. Std. warranty of 2 years/50k km. Extended warranty to be decided yet.
4. No free servicing. First and subsequent servicing 1 yr/15k km. Synthetic oil used. Apprx. servicing cost Rs. 8000/-
5. He also gave me a list of accessories. Needless to say, they were priced at a premium. Surprisingly, price quoted by dealer was more than that mentioned in the car configurator section of VW India website.

All in all, initial experience with the dealership has made me wary of after sales at VW.

autoluv, Are you sure on the servicing cost? Bangalore dealer gave a figure of around 4-5K. He told the figure is 9K even for a Jetta, not sure how much truth in this.I don't understand why they are not announcing the extended warranty yet even after a month of launch. Looks like the dealer is short charging you on accessories.Even I am very much wary of after sales going by the initial experience.

Synthetic oil alone would be around 3k so 8k seems more likely. Figure quoted by dealer is akin to what they tell you about FE

No sir, no freebies and no discounts at this time, reason being it is a new launch and is being accepted well by the masses. Maybe a year or so Ford might give some.

Yes, you are quite correct - When booking in full swing (everywhere) why should they give any discount/freebies.
But the car is good and VFM

Make : HONDA
Model : City
Variant : EMT
Fuel : Petrol
Booking Date : 07/03/2010
Color : Black
Expected Delivery Date : 28/03/2010
Dealer & City : Ace Honda, Noida
Freebies : Mud-flaps (not included in EMT)
Others : Corporate Discount 15,000. Cash discount 6000. Dealer agreed to swap tyres for Michelins if not originally fitted.

The car I have been allocated is Jan 2010 manufactured. There was a black EMT in the showroom when I booked the car which has since gone missing. Should I be suspicious?

Its evident that due to negative feedback from CIBIL, his loan was rejected.

@Subbarao, it happened with quite a few folks that i know. It could be related to a small amount default to some credit card way back which you dont even remember.

Talk to CIBIL and pay that amount and get a clean chit from them and re-apply for the loan.
